Me and my mate always sing that song randomly in public. We get the weirdest looks, but it's too damned awesome to stop.

At some point soon today, I'll be bringing down the server in order to make another shot at database migration to and testing out the dedicated server. The process shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to an hour, and further updates regarding its state will be posted in the Server Status Updates subforum here.

Just a heads up!

EDIT:
The server's up and running on the new machine! Now for testing.

Please change your realmlist addresses to:
coth.game-server.cc

That's it! Log in as per normal.

Edit 2: I'm just not having much luck with having a stable dedicated server, it seems. At any rate, the old server is back up for now. Please check the later reply in this thread for info.

Try to never just say, "My character isn't interested in that adventure." A lot of people mistake this for good roleplaying, because you are asserting your character's personality. Wrong. Good roleplaying should never bring the game to a screeching halt. One of your jobs as a player is to come up with a reason why your character would be interested in a plot. After all, your personality is entirely in your hands, not the DM's. Come up with a reason why the adventure (or the reward) might appeal to you, no matter how esoteric or roundabout the reasoning. -(Source)

So it seems that, surprise surprise, the server went offline again.

Please feel free to switch your realmlist back to coth.game-host.org in order to fulfill your RP cravings. Hold off on changing your character for the time being (like farming or tokening or anything).

Hey Kretol, can we resume OOC progression yet, or not? There is some speculation both ways, and it would be handy to know. Thanks!

Aye, go ahead. Even if I get the new server up and running again, I'll probably just leave it running for a day to ensure it's actually working before having folks waste time trying it out. If it works out, I'll move the databases over again.
