You're doouble-clicking the WoW Application directly, not the Launcher, right?

I'm using Mac and I downloaded the clients, then patched it. I wait for it to hit 3.2.2a and then I STOP. I quit, and then use the World of Warcraft icon directly, not the launcher 'cause its gunna keep patchin'.

Just feel like posting. XD

Wait so you don't have the patch 3.2.2a?

Hey, a friend and I just joined here. He's having an issue. It seems that no matter what he does WoW always tries to direct him to connect to retail as opposed to your server. He says he followed the directions to connect here. He's on a PC. I, however, did not follow the directions to a T. I did not create two "realmlist" files and can connect fine. I just replaced the original with yours.

Was your profile approved? And is the server account maker functional at the moment?

You do not. You create an account on this server that is unique and not at all related to the retail servers.

I think that the trials are the complete installation, but the accounts you'd create with them on the retail servers are the biggest difference; they're restricted. However, I think if you use the trials and then log onto this server you should be fine. Someone will have to confirm that for me, though.

Yeah, when running the file linked in the beginning of the guide for your respective OS, it asks you which you want to install. Just run it once for each expansion.

Running it more than once is completely unnecessary. All you need to do is select the highest expansion you want installed - it'll install all the necessary files for that and everything before.

Try to never just say, "My character isn't interested in that adventure." A lot of people mistake this for good roleplaying, because you are asserting your character's personality. Wrong. Good roleplaying should never bring the game to a screeching halt. One of your jobs as a player is to come up with a reason why your character would be interested in a plot. After all, your personality is entirely in your hands, not the DM's. Come up with a reason why the adventure (or the reward) might appeal to you, no matter how esoteric or roundabout the reasoning. -(Source)
