Downgrading patches for a mac.
#1
I just finished a fresh install of wow and realized that you guys are only patched up to 3.0.9. I looked at your link on how to downgrade, but I use a mac and do not have the repair.exe file. So I googled up what I could and found that the only way to downgrade on a mac is to reinstall.

Someone please give me some good news... lol.

Since Mac does not have the repair utility you must do a clean re-
install.

After the initial install, open your "C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Data\enUS\realmlist.wtf and edit it to say

set realmlist coth.game-host.org
set patchlist coth.game-host.org
set realmlistbn ""
set portal us

That way it wont patch through blizzard's servers. However in doing so you must grab patches via the mirrors on other misc sites.

Any other issues or problems post here on the thread or PM me.

An unfortunate turn of events, but I guess it'll have to do. Hopefully, if I save the patch files that I downloaded from Blizzard, I'll be able to skip downloading them again.

Thanks for the quick response!

No problem that's what we are here for. But remember after the first initial installation with no patches, edit your Config.wtf to:

set realmlist coth.game-host.org
set patchlist coth.game-host.org
set realmlistbn ""
set portal us

As to not initiate any automatic patch downloads. If you need a list of patch mirrors let me know, I can't find my list off hand at the moment.
