Depends on genre.
The Golden Child is an excellent comedy. (So is Shanghai Noon.)
I am very fond of horror/thrillers. My favourite would be The Exsorcism of Emily Rose, followed by White Noise as I love paranormal themes in horror/thrillers.

Sigerid Wrote:American History X had me going. Some of the more recent ones I've seen that I liked a lot are Fired Up, Knowing, and Ghost of Girlfriends Past. Knowing's ending was a bit odd if you ask me, but still worth a see. It'll keep you guessing I reckon.
I lurvv American History X, great movie, abit too focused on the moral though.

Torn between Donnie Darko and The Nightmare Before Christmas. I sway toward TNBC though a little, for the charm of the music and beautiful animation. Coraline has nothing on Tim Burton. /sagenod

Sorry for the 1-month Necromancy, but I'd just like to throw in Saving Private Ryan.. It is a very emotionally charged film, especially at the end transition between war and cemetery.. It's one of the very few war movies I didn't snore over.. Actually, anything with Tom Hanks is great! The Green Mile, Philadelphia, Forrest Gump.. All wonderful movies in their own genre, brought to life by a somewhat brilliant genius of an actor..

Hmm.... American History X gets a nod, and I love Fight Club. Of course, I do have an epic crush on Ed Norton.... but anyway. Other favorites.....
the Road to El Dorado, Boondock Saints, Gran Torino (makes me almost cry every time), Sweeney Todd, Yellowbeard, Young Frankenstein, DUNE! dune dune dune.... *nerdgasm*
I'm sure I'll think of more later.
Oh, and speaking of crushes.... Lt. Commander Data (yes, from Start Trek).... *glomp*
Bury me on my feet. I have lived my entire life on my knees.
