Meeting with leaders.
#1
So, we´re going to try this leader-contact system out, bellow is a list of people you will be reffered to when requesting a meeting with a leader-figure, the list will be expanded upon after this initial testing. GM´s will puppet/play the characters and it is up to you to get through the layers of officials if you need to talk to the leader of a certain faction/group.
Quote:Stormwind - Lieutenant Cathal Fairhand, can be found in or near the command center.

Academy of Arcane Arts and Sciences - Professor "Blaze" Borst, can be found in or near the Academy´s building near the Stockades.

Wizard´s Guild - Senior Sorcerer Ennar Raidon, can be found in or near the Wizard´s Sanctum (Since the fall of the Sanctum he can be found with a majority of the other Wizard´s guild members in a tavern at the Dwarven District).

The Slaughter´s Coven - Acolyte Aristia, can be found at the top floor of the Slaugthered Lamb.

Brotherhood of Northshire
- Brother Caddon, can be found in or near the the Northshire Abbey.

Ironforge - Thief Catcher Tirga Steelgrip, can be found wandering the streets of Ironforge, especially around the Military Ward.

When you wish to speak to a leader PM a GM and they´ll make sure that the person playing the character your character will be reffered to is informed and can help you.

If there´s a certain faction (not the main ones like Orgrimmar or Silvermoon which will be added later) you´d like added feel free to post it here together with any information you have about them.

Finally something like this is implemented. Initial testing or not, this will open up doors to new types of role-plays and possibilities. Hopefully it works out in the desired way. Huzzah.

*raises hand* I would motion for Falstad Wildhammer; he's the high thane of Aerie Peak. Most of the Wildhammers are in Outland but there's a few who remain back there.

A bit of info from the WoWiki:

The Wildhammer dwarves are stuck in conflict against local troll tribes They wish to maintain their independence, something that their people have valued since the War of the Three Hammers, but the increasing number of trolls in their land causes growing concern. Falstad also sees the Scourge just beyond the horizon, and knows that one day, his people will have to make a stand against the undead as well. To this end, he seeks to increase the Wildhammers' ties with the Alliance without actually joining, which puts him in an interesting position. Since he has not officially joined the Alliance, he lacks their full support; but the Horde does not yet consider him an enemy either. He has yet to decide if joining the Alliance would be beneficial enough to risk the wrath of the Horde, but his people lean more in that direction, especially with many of them working side-by-side with the Stormpike clan and the few remaining high elves.

Falstad does have one thing in his favor: the red dragonflight. As a member of the party that freed the Dragonqueen, and a personal friend of her mate Korialstrasz, he is one of the most respected humanoids in the eyes of the red dragons. While he has yet to call upon their favor, Falstad considers flying to Grim Batol to ask for aid, or just to discuss matters with the dragons. If Falstad could be persuaded to join the Alliance, perhaps he could bring the red dragonflight with him.

Due to his fighting prowess against dragons, Falstad is often known as “Falstad Dragonreaver,” but his real last name is (like Muradin Bronzebeard) that of his clan: Wildhammer.

Falstad Dragonreaver was a noble gryphon rider of the Wildhammer dwarf Clan of Hinterlands, commanding a small flight of such riders who patrolled the shores of Lordaeron for any hostile draconic activity after the Second War. Falstad and his comrades protected the town of Hasic from certain doom, and then tranported human mage Rhonin and his companions across the Great Sea to Khaz Modan. During the journey, however, the group was ambushed and Falstad's kinsmen were killed. Nevertheless, at the incentive of Vereesa Windrunner, Falstad continued to Khaz Modan. Later, with the help of a clan of hill dwarves, Falstad reached Grim Batol and fought in the final battle there to free the Red Dragon Queen Alexstrasza.

Following the presumed death or retirement of High Thane Maz Drachrip, ruler of Aerie Peak and the Wildhammer Clan, Falstad succeeded him through hereditary monarchy as the High Thane and continues to rule the Wildhammer Clan to this day.

Quotes:

"Stand back, wizard! Would you like it in two neat halves or chopped into little fragments?"

"Aye, 'tis the hammer that impresses the ladies most 'tisn't it?"

"If there's a hint at all in your words that we're cowards, human, I'll do to you what I kept Molok from doing."

"He's a mage, after all, and everyone knows that they're all mad!"

"Those rough-hewn hills that look like my grandmother, beard and all? Aye, 'tis a good choice! We'll descend toward those!."

"Would he prefer I walk into the mouth of the dragon or just lie down in front of the beast and let it gnaw on me at its leisure?"

"It'd take a hand's worth of you hill dwarves to bring one from the Aerie down!"

"Invaders! Invaders! We're under attack, boys! Get 'em!"

I´ve been thinking of them actually, one thing is that I´m unsure of how much use the Wildhammers would see. As of now I think I´m the only one how had a Wildhammer dwarf active not counting Maeven, so yeah, anyone else agree to Wildhammers? We´re going to avoid factions and sub-faction that could end up like Zul´Senjari (except if there´s a GM that really wants that faction of course)

Edit; And the GM would be expected to handle that faction, that´s why, heh.

So, Nostra's gonna get the Wildhammers? Because I don't think they'd listen to an Elf.

Check Maeven's last name and history...they might!

The thing about the Wildhammers which would be of a considerable bit of use is they have exceptional gryphons; they specialise in breeding them actually, and they are superior to Ironforge's own. Secondly, the ties with the red dragonflight might also be useful, though I imagine it would take a lot to convince them to bring them forth - but y'know how I always wanted dragons to kick more butt than they were doing before. How effective they would be would be determined by gameplay and what they'd bring forward.

So far I think this idea is a good one, I'm having a fair bit of fun working my way up the ranks!

Noooo, the THANE has a tie with the red dragons. Maeven's history is a bit more involved and his membership is honorary. Maev's been round the block, shall we say.

This WAS a faction you could raise at one time, though it didn't seem to go anywhere. For storyline's sake, I had Maev's raised up to exalted at one point, but then, in a 2.1 patch or somewhere around there, it was removed. There was speculation this was due to the Wildhammer's being in Shadowmoon Valley and it maybe giving an unfair advantage to Alliance for getting a bigger discount on flying mounts but who knows.

Actually, Maev meeting the Thane would be amusing as I've no idea what the greeting would be like; just because Maev got on with quite a few, it doesn't mean they ALL welcomed him. I'm rather sure Maev would be like a young, errant child standing under the gaze of a rather stern grandfather with a lot of "yessir", "nossir" and so forth.

Ah, thanks a ton, didn't quite get how that worked! I was getting a little worried there.

And one thing to add, Adolphus will NOT get help from the Exodar, he doesn't really know about it, or much about his own race, and can't speak their langauge, he'd probably not be too good at persuading them to help.

I would like to share Varok Saurfang or as most of you know him, High Overlord Saurfang.

"Saurfang is the Supreme Commander of the Might of Kalimdor in the war against the Silithid and their Qiraji masters. He stands in Orgrimmar until the war, when he will travel to the frontline in Silithus. He is the brother of Broxigar, an orc who travelled back in time to the War of the Ancients and died in glorious battle against the Burning Legion. His son Saurfang the Younger lives in Nagrand. "

"I am Saurfang. Brother of Broxigar. You know me to be the Supreme Commander of the Might of Kalimdor. An orc - a true orc warrior - wishes for one thing: To die in the glory of battle against a hated enemy. Some of you have fought in battles. Peace has been with us for many years. Many years we sat idle but many years we battled. In those years - where strife the land and Legion and Scourge sacked our homes, killed our families - these insects dwelled beneath us. Beneath our homes - waiting. Waiting to crush the life from our little ones. To slay all in their path. This they do for their god. And for our gods? We defend. We stand. We show that as one. United. We destroy. Their god will fall. To die today, on this field of battle, is to die an orcish death. To die today is to die for our little ones. Our old ones. Our… loved ones. Would any of you deny yourselves such a death? Such an honor?"

Especially now that Kaghuros, Gromkai and others in the past have been working to thwart the Silithid advances in Thunder Ridge and would like to take the fight all the way back to Silithus.

Hmm, I´m just curious where we would add in lil´ Saur, is he the leader of the Horde army(ies)?

There are another way we could do it, I´ll have him added in somehow.

The Thunder Ridge Silithids, I think this is the third time or so that they´ve been destroyed. Hmm, maybe this time they won´t come back to Durotar? *shrug* That´s up to Qaza.

In the WOTLK expansion, he leads the Warsong Offensive alongside Garrosh Hellscream, the son of Grom Hellscream. This much tells us that he was and is indeed a military leader of the Horde army. Another thing would be that he leads most of the main armies(I.E. the Might of Kalimdor force), I can safely say that he is the main general and deals with militaristic affairs while Thrall does the diplomacy and politics.
