Renewal of the Sun
#16
Quote:Overall, it's an event that any Tauren would have an excuse to go to - even Grimtotem would be accepted, though it may be a bit awkward to talk about 'that time you tried to exile everyone out of Thunder Bluff and killed our chieftain'.

They'd be on a shorter leash, but as long as there's no funny business they'd be totally fine to come!

And @Nikodemos, the date's been moved to a Sunday after Northshire stuff was announced suddenly. Unfortunately, Sunday's also when Zenethen's five-man event is going on, so it's a bit of a pickle. As I've been having some troubles in getting GM support it might be pushed back so that all the Human events can go on merrily. We'll see, though!

Move him into the sun—
Gently its touch awoke him once,
At home, whispering of fields half-sown.
Always it woke him, even in France,
Until this morning and this snow.
If anything might rouse him now
The kind old sun will know.

Think how it wakes the seeds,—
Woke, once, the clays of a cold star.
Are limbs, so dear-achieved, are sides,
Full-nerved—still warm—too hard to stir?
Was it for this the clay grew tall?
—O what made fatuous sunbeams toil
To break earth’s sleep at all?

Don't worry, we'll gather the warband and deal with this Alliance uprising! :p

Keep me in the loop, I'm around if you need anything in the meantime.

Due to a bunch of issues I've had to push the event back later. I'd like you all to vote in the poll for what would be the best date to hold it on for you!

Barring my computer catching fire, my internet exploding, being mauled by kangaroos or my need for sleep (These are all real problems, I assure you) Abrani should be there.

Spoiler:

20:50:15 To [Vedajo]: ... The totems.
20:51:37 To [Vedajo]: It's a perfect triangle!
20:52:22 To [Vedajo]: inb4 the festival is just a cover and Vedajo is actually summoning an old god.

I knew it! The hyperactive young tauren thing is just an act!

I'll be there with anyone from our storyline who's available. Give a shout if you still need me to cover a few things.

Due to shenanigans both feared and unforeseen, this event's indefinitely postponed 'til I figure things out.

This is basically the total opposite of what I wanted to happen, but let's just say the stars aligned. Except the stars are a series of circumstances, rather than stars, and they're not so much linearly aligned so much as all over the place. I'm going to pin most of it on my inexperience, and for that I'd like apologise to the max - especially to those who've contributed to the event's planning (Jonoth, Osvaldas, Nikodemos, Dilly particularly). This doesn't particularly mean the event's over forever, I just need to look at everything and see what I'm going to do and how I'm going to do it in advance.
