Rosehaven

Just outside of Darkshire, there once was a small establishment dubbed Solidarity Row. Built and populated by the members and officers of a people’s group named Solidarity, it sought to bring hope, opportunity, and renewal to Stormwind’s common man. It failed, and its Row was left abandoned for a time. Home to shambling undead, and errant worgen.

For a time, it was dark, decaying. Some months after the Cataclysm, it would be found by a young Gilnean witch. She decided it would make a fair home, a haven from which she could offer service to the Alliance that aided her people. She gathered friends and cleaned the little hamlet of undead. Her prayers to the earth’s spirits, coupled with the Light of a few paladins lessened the sickness in the land; enough to ask the earth for a small crop for this season’s harvest.

Word spread of the hamlet’s habitation and renewal. She was able to draw workers to the Row. She could not offer them coin, but there was plenty to repair, plenty of room for shelter, and plenty of food to cook. Slowly, over the weeks, crucial structures like the blacksmith, barn, and chapel were restored.

Finally, a new name was given to the Row. She chose Rosehaven; a harkening back to her home of Gilneas, and an offering of safety and warmth in Duskwood’s shadows. Visitors are welcome to seek a rug for the night, or to trade their wares in bartering or for coin.

Current Residents and Hands
Roux Blackwood
Faelan Cathasach
Morrig
Kitson Hunter
Paulton Cooper

Services Offered
Blacksmith
Chapel
Stable and barn
Hearth and food for the night
Fortune telling and Old Ways guidance

Laws
As this is a private home for a few people (more or less run by Roux Blackwood), a visitor can and will be kicked out if they cause too much trouble; again this is private property. Larger issues, like theft or murder, will be reported to the Night Watch.

OOC Policies
Like with any other RP location, if I or others that consider the area Rosehaven are absent, people are free to use the area as they deem fit. If you do consider it Rosehaven and you break in and use it as you see fit, I'd like OOC notice so we can commiserate on what happens next.

Ninde's face when: "...What a silly name."
Perhaps it is your imperfection that which grants you free will, that allows you to persevere against cosmically calculated odds. You prevailed where the Titans' own perfect creations have failed.

Due to the unforseen threats by an elderly Fel-sworn woman during a Winter's Veil party, Roux, Cristovao, and Matthew have taken defensive measures. Repairs are now focused on the walls (insert Gilnean and walls joke here), and warding magics have been placed around the property.

Yellow Circle - These provide a blessing of sanctuary against shadow and fire.

Green Circle - Roux's Old Ways runes, six in all etched in a circle.

Spoiler:
[Image: 15.gif] Elk - This is a rune of great restraint power, defense and protection. Use this rune in charms and talismans to protect yourself as well as your property.

[Image: 16.gif] Sun - With the help of this rune we tend to be able to see things more clearly. Like the sun sheds light on dark times, with the Sun we too can find the light during dark times.

[Image: 22.gif] Fertility - This rune allows us to spread our energy out far and wide. It is a protective rune mainly for the protection of our homes.

[Image: 23.gif] Day - Day represents a stability between opposites, such as light and dark. It can stop harmful energy from getting to you but at the same time allow the good energy to slip through so that you can make good use of it.

[Image: 3.gif] Thorn/Giant - This rune represents the ability we have to resist unwanted conflicts in a passive manner. It is a rune of protection and can tell us of a possible change that would have otherwise come without warning. You can use the protection aspect of Thorn as a defense against adversaries.

[Image: 4.gif] Mouth/Divine Breath - The Mouth is a rune that symbolizes stability and shows us order. It is also a rune that indicates intellectual activities and directly represents the divine breath of all life and creation.

Now, what does all this mean practically? Basically, any fel user (especially a hostile one) will find themselves weakened in the area. Not to an overpowered extent. A lack of focus, or perhaps a stroke of bad luck in calling a spell. The more solid resistances are provided by the Paladin blessings, but even that doesn't provide total silence or immunity. That's meta-gaming!

Here's a list of images of the general location of the markings around the property.

Updated with a list of Current Residents and Hands. This doesn't include the three or so NPCs in their invisible NPC abode(s), obviously.

A small bump. I noted someone in the Account Management list with the note that their character that I don't know is staying here.

Currently the owner and (most of her) friends are in Hyjal. The land is being watched over by a friendly noble family (the Thelwinds) while she's gone.

Rosehaven, while generally open to the weary traveler, is not public property. I would appreciate it if you let me know if you plan to have your character there while the owner is away. Just like, don't do your evil plotting here plzkthx.

To note, any RPer is welcome to use the in-game location as anything else they wish. First come, first serve server policy and such.
