Ceredor just nods as she speaks, letting her finish her little monologue of instructions. "I will do so." He said simply, not having anything else left to say. After listening to all of her words, remaining silent once more, he gives another nod. "Don't worry. I don't plan on forfeiting. I will see this through." He said, determined.

Ceredor waited patiently, cleaning the blades of his weapon while he waited the short time that she was gone. When she returned, he nodded and took the scrolls. His Nightsaber had made its way back to him while she was getting the scrolls. The beast snarled at her at first but relaxed when it saw its master talking with her. He placed them in a satchel on the Nightsaber's saddle and climbed up. "Then I will see you in a week. No more.. No less." He gave her a nod of farewell and turned his mount, racing back towards Night Elf civilization.

Ceredor would spend the week with his mother and father, having possibly the best time of his life with them. Learning new blacksmithing techniques, sparring with his mother, all very good times. And when he was alone, he studied the scrolls very intensely, learning everything he could about his enemies. The more he knew, the more he could destroy. Knowledge is power and in this case, a very strong and important power.

The Kaldorei would return to the spot where he had last saw the Sindorei, arriving almost half a day early and would find a safe spot to continue his studying. Last minute re-reading while he waited.

Theleniel on the other hand, had spent the week in the usual manner: Demon-hunting. Upon returning to the place where they'd agreed to meet, she nodded over at him. "You're here early. I hope you're ready." she smiled.

"Pass me the scrolls, and we'll begin." she held a hand out to the Kaldorei, and after she'd receive the scrolls in their bronzed cases, she'd sling them over her shoulder.

"First off," she began. "One: Which are the weakest possible demons?" she asked - and awaited an answer. Only after receiving one would she go on - a feature common with all the future questions she asked.

"Two: What do Imps fear the most?"

"Three: Who creates Infernals?"

"Four: What are Forlarren?"

"Five: What are Satyr Warlocks called?"

"Six: What is one metal that works well against demons?"

"Seven: What part of a Fel-stalker or Fel-hunter's body is most often used against enemy casters?"

"Eight: What is the general purpose of Succubi?"

"Nine: What are Ered'ruin commonly called?"

"Ten: Which part of an Infernal is used by Fel-casters to summon more of the constructs?"

"Eleven: How are fel-steel and fel-iron weapons created?"

"Twelve: What are some common signs of Fel-corruption?"

"Thirteen: What is the easiest way to get rid of an enemy Voidwalker?"

"Fourteen: What are the Priestesses of the Burning Legion called?"

"Fifteen: What are mortals sworn into the servitude of a demon called?"

"Sixteen: How did Azshara plan to bring Sargeras into our world in ancient times?"

"Seventeen: How did Kil'jaeden plan to enter our world in recent times?"

"Eighteen: How can you render a Fel-stalker nearly harmless?"

"Nineteen: What is the primary way of attack, for an Imp?"

"Twenty: Who is the father of all Satyrs?"

"Twenty-one: Two fairly common types of demon have the ability to disguise themselves as mortals via magic. What are they?"

"Twenty-two: Aside from their melee capabilities, why is it unwise to stand near an active Infernal?"

"Twenty-three: Where do demons go when they die?"

"Twenty-four: What are the rulers of the Sayaad species called?"

"Twenty-five: What are three places on Azeroth where demons are commonly found?"

"Twenty-six: What are the enormous mechanical troops of the Burning Legion called?"

"Twenty-seven: What is the artillery of the Burning Legion, most often found on Outland, called?"

"Twenty-eight: What are the effects of Eredun on the common mortal mind?"

"Twenty-nine: What is the common name for an Annihilan?"

"And thirty: When a Naaru, a creature of pure Light, bleeds out and becomes Darkened, what is the final, demonic state of this dimming, the ultimate form of darkness incarnate?"

The Night Elf stood, handing the scrolls to the female and nodded, his face void of expression. "I am ready." He spoke surely, but one could tell he was pained.

One: Which are the weakest possible demons? "It is the Imp."

Two: What do Imps fear the most? "They fear rainbows above all else."

Three: Who creates Infernals? "The Tothrezim."

Eight: What is the general purpose of Succubi? "To manipulate her enemy then flank or ambush them during their vulnerable state."

Nine: What are Ered'ruin commonly called? "Doomguards."

Ten: Which part of an Infernal is used by Fel-casters to summon more of the constructs? "Infernal stones are used for summoning, which are made from the cores of Infernals, as well as using Fel Stones for summoning."

Eleven: How are fel-steel and fel-iron weapons created? "Forging the weapons in felblood."

Twelve: What are some common signs of Fel-corruption? "Blood-tinted skin, the growth of claws, fangs and horns."

Thirteen: What is the easiest way to get rid of an enemy Voidwalker? "Destroy its bracers, as they are what helps them remain outside of the Nether."

Fourteen: What are the Priestesses of the Burning Legion called? "The Shivarra."

Fifteen: What are mortals sworn into the servitude of a demon called? "Felsworn."

Sixteen: How did Azshara plan to bring Sargeras into our world in ancient times? "By using the magical energies of the Well of Eternity to open a portal to our realm."

Seventeen: How did Kil'jaeden plan to enter our world in recent times? "By having a portal opened at a site in the Sunwell Plateau."

Eighteen: How can you render a Fel-stalker nearly harmless? "Sever its tentacles from its body."

Nineteen: What is the primary way of attack, for an Imp? "Fireballs."

Twenty: Who is the father of all Satyrs? "Xavius, the first of the Satyrs."

Twenty-one: Two fairly common types of demon have the ability to disguise themselves as mortals via magic. What are they? "Succubi and Fel-guards are able to take mortal shape."

Twenty-two: Aside from their melee capabilities, why is it unwise to stand near an active Infernal? "They are enveloped in fel-fire, which will set anything near it aflame."

Twenty-three: Where do demons go when they die? "Their souls return to the Nether."

Twenty-four: What are the rulers of the Sayaad species called? "Queens of Suffering."

Twenty-five: What are three places on Azeroth where demons are commonly found? "The Blasted Lands, Mount Hyjal, and the forests of Ashenvale."

Twenty-six: What are the enormous mechanical troops of the Burning Legion called? "Felreavers."

Twenty-seven: What is the artillery of the Burning Legion, most often found on Outland, called? "Fel Cannons."

Twenty-eight: What are the effects of Eredun on the common mortal mind? "It works to eventually drive them insane, taking from them any morality they had."

Twenty-nine: What is the common name for an Annihilan? "Pit-Lords."

And thirty: When a Naaru, a creature of pure Light, bleeds out and becomes Darkened, what is the final, demonic state of this dimming, the ultimate form of darkness incarnate? "A Void God."

After answering the last question, he remained in his straight posture, falling silent and awaiting her response to his answers. He was sure they were correct. He studied intensely every moment he had free. He was determined.

Theleniel took the scrolls and slung them over her shoulder. As she listened to each answer given, a smile grew over her face and at the very end, she watched Ceredor carefully.

"You've passed this test, Ceredor. Well-done. Now, come." she beckoned and made for one of the nearby trees - in the very direction from whence she came. From there, she picked up a pair of large, heavy-looking broadswords, the muscles on her body visibly tensing to the effort. She held them up to Ceredor. "Next comes your first test of survival. You are to carry both of these, heavy though they are, and not let go of them during your waking hours for two weeks, save for eating and the like."

The Demon Hunter exhaled. "These broadswords have been weighted so they fit your people, so they should prove a fitting challenge." she gestured to a farther-off path. "Now, we'll run to Azshara, where I'll show you just where you're meant to survive."

Theleniel awaited an answer before starting her run - slowly, at first, glancing behind herself to make sure Ceredor had a little time to accommodate to the weight of the weapons, before pressing on relentlessly, until they reached one of the hills overlooking the Ruins of Eldarath, the Naga-infested remnants of the ancient Kaldorei Empire, The Demon Hunter gestured to the site. "Don't stray too far from Eldarath. I'll be watching you. And try to outsmart the Naga you encounter - at least until you get used to wielding those two." she said, nodding to the blades in his hands.

"You're prohibited from contact with other individuals. Good luck, Ceredor. And an even better will. We shall speak again in two weeks' time, provided you survive." the Blood Elf watched the Kaldorei.

Ceredor nodded, still seeming to be uneasy, or at least bothered. But he still responded quickly, nodding his head again as he watched her bring forward the swords. Quirking an eyebrow at the female, he stepped forward to grasp the hilt of each sword. At first, he nearly dropped them as he seemed to underestimate the Sindorei's physical strength.. After regaining his posture holding the two swords, he nodded to her. "Lead the way." He said, tightening his grip on the blades. He was used to heavy weapons from the smithing he had done in his life, but these still pushed it. Especially carrying two.

He would jog after her, needing to get used to moving with the two weapons, then would pick up the pace as she did, making sure not to fall too far behind. The Night Elf was able to keep up with her, though he would occasionally slow down, catching a quick breather while his body adjusted to the heavy weight added on.

When they arrived in Azshara, he looked put off, not liking being in the area but he pushed aside this discomfort to continue following her. His.. teacher, now. When they arrived at the ruins, he would look around, making sure to be ready for anything. He clearly did not trust these lands. Listening to her words, he said very little, just nodding to show he acknowledged what she was saying. "Naga.." He scoffed, looking over the ruins once more. Looking back at her, the Kaldorei nodded. "I will remain here as long as I am told." The Naga didn't seem to be out in great numbers right now.. A good time to find a place to hold up for safety and training. He looked back at the Sindorei. "I will see you in two weeks." And he moved forward, into the ruins..

The next day, he spent most of the daylight hours hiding as best as he could with the two heavy broadswords, scanning and surveying the ruins and learning the usual ways of the Naga that filled them. And the first day came to an end.. not much really happening. But there were still thirteen days to go.. It was bound to get interesting. But for now.. The Night Elf would rest and dream whatever he could.

Theleniel picked herself a taller hill, and overlooked the Kaldorei's progress. Her Arcane-sensitive eyes were trained on the Naga below, mostly to judge whether they neared the Night Elf or not.

Nodding to herself as the night conquered the skies and lands below, she allowed herself to relax and rest - a feat which took a good deal of willpower, for sleep, to a Demon Hunter, did not shut off their Spectral Sight, which was independent of whether their eyelids were open or closed.

The restless Blood Elf woke just before first light, and scanned the ruins and their outskirts, trying to find her pupil, and discern whether or not he came to trouble over the course of the night - or if he'd been granted peaceful sleep.

Ceredor had managed to find a safe little nook that was away from the normal patrols of Naga. Ceredor awoke to the shine of daylight on his face, letting out a small grumble. He shook his head, looking around, his resting area hidden low inside of a toppled building. He rose up slowly, making sure to keep himself lowered and headed to a corner, peeking out to check the area for any enemies. Once the coast was clear, he went to his bag, having brought some rations just in case. Of course, they would not last two weeks.. But he would worry about that soon enough.

After eating his small meal, he looked over and grabbed the two swords, heaving them up with a quick grunt. "Time to do something.." He mumbled to himself and turned to head out of the ruined building. He remained low as he went about, searching the general area around his "base of operations". A good, or lucky, choice indeed as he seemed to have picked a place where the Naga chose to avoid for some reason or another. Either way, his life was made easy.. Time to make it harder. Moving out of his "comfort zone" some more, he finally sighted a pair of large Naga slithering alongside each other, patrolling it seemed, as they were attentive but looking bored. They exchanged words and grunts and hisses as they patrolled, apparently starting to get angry with each other. Ceredor looked at his weapons then at his targets.. Now wasn't the time. He was outnumbered and still not used to the heavy blades, much more used to his double-sided glaive. He sighed and slowly backed away toward his "safe haven", which again, luckily, was on the outskirts as well so it was easy to sneak out into the nearby wilderness for hunting and gathering purposes. He never strayed too far, though.. Always remaining close to the ruins. He spent most of the first day gathering anything he would need and could manage from nature outside his new home.

He would return to his Eldarath abode, now with some herbs picked and small animals hunted. Nothing special, but it would keep him going. Nightfall came, but he did not sleep. Instead he chose to do some more scouting, feeling he would have more of a chance now that it was darker. Still holding his swords, as per his requirement from his mentor, he strayed from his 'haven' and found that while there are considerably less Naga about after the sun has gone down, they remain in the open, always on watch. Taking note of this, he fell back.. There would be much scouting to be done.

Retreating to his base and, after making sure all traces of light and fire were out, he trained, practicing his skills with the blades in complete darkness. He had been a fan of dual-wielding blades years ago, but these were considerably heavier than the swords he trained with. But without any training, he would be useless in a fight. So he trained for the rest of that night and when the sun began to rise and he knew it was finally time for him to rest. He would need to work during the nights to survive this place. So he laid down in his "bed" and closed his eyes. Any rest was rest enough.. And he dozed off. The first day complete.. Only thirteen to go.

Theleniel watched the Kaldorei from on high for as long as she could, keeping track of the Naga patrols in the area. Eventually, though, she decided to slip off, into the depths of Azshara's forests as night bloomed.

Quietly, she scoured the area until she found a crystalline matter, set aglow in blue and purple, fragments of which jutted out of the ground at irregular intervals. Azsharite. The Demon Hunter worked ceaselessly to gather as many as she could, and hauled back the metal time and time again, to the small campsite she'd made at the top of a hill.

Once there, she set alight a fire, using her own tainted fel-flame, and, using rocks, she created a funnel-like contraption, into which she set the Azsharite, over the sicky-green flame. Slowly but surely, the metal gave in to the heat of the life-burning fire and dripped forth into a stone shaped like an open bowl. Nodding to herself as she waited, the Demon Hunter sprinted off to get herself a hammer and tongs, bought from a Horde camp to the North of Azshara, at the base of the mountain ranges where magi made their homes of late.

Regardless, her attention quickly returned to Ceredor as dawn came, though a bit of her awareness remained on the metal being smelted, for a purpose that would hopefully change the fates of countless..

The Kaldorei slept most of the day, awaking when the sun was on its slow descent. He rubbed his eyes and remembered again to remain as quiet as possible, as one never knew if the Naga had traveled closer.. It was the night of the fourth day. He had done as much scouting as possible without being captured, making sure to train himself every night before resting. His sleep schedule had become a much more nocturnal one, but he adjusted well. He took a deep breath, doing his usual sweep around the area, surveying and scanning. It was becoming routine to him. After over half a week of this every day, he had come to do these things without thinking of them now. His life and more were at stake, so he made sure to always be at the top of his game.

After doing nothing "entertaining" for a few days, he was starting to not need it, his mind seeming to have time go by faster now instead of letting it drag on with boredom, killing time with exercises and workouts to keep himself in shape still, the swords the focus of most exercises.

It was late dusk now and as he was preparing to do his scouting, he heard the sound of plated armor clanging together as something slithered into his sphere of comfort. Since it was normally completely silent other than the sound of animals in the distance or a little breeze, he could tell that this stray Naga was coming closer and closer. It was going through a nearby building, tossing a few things around and hissing in its native tongue. Words he did not understand, but did not care to. All he knew was that something was invading his new home and it was dangerous. But charging in blindly was foolish.. He needed to think on this. Attack and possibly kill it, then have it possibly be missed and a party comes searching, or let it be and have it discover him.. which lead to fight or flight. And since he was not allowed to leave the ruins.. he ultimately decided that this Naga's life needed to end.

The elf crept up along a crumbled wall, holding his weapons tightly. The Naga was still rummaging through the remnants of anything left in the old, destroyed home, looking for something. He cared not what the reasons were, though.. only that it needed to die. He did his best to move slowly toward the creature but luck was not on his side this day. The Naga turned to face his direction as it looked through the home.. The Naga had a good two feet on him, as well as armor and a fairly large weapon. What he had was light leather armor, two heavy broadswords, and a more agile body.

He sighed slightly as its eyes turned to him and he wasted no time for it to respond, charging at the sea-snake and swung both swords downward on it, hoping to end this quickly but it would not be that easy. The Naga growled and raised its weapon in defense, blocking both swords then trying to use the recoil of the clashing steel as an opening to strike the Elf. Ceredor quickly tumbled backwards, evading the swing of the Naga's large axe. Rising to his combat stance, he eyed the Naga who, while large and armored, seemed as if it was inexperienced almost. His enemy slithered at him, knocking any and everything out of the way as it charged at him and the two were locked in a clash of blades for a few moments, Ceredor needing to focus more on his speed than his power for this enemy, as he was outmatched in that respect. Rolling, dodging, blocking, he did whatever he could to hold his own, and he did it well. Finally, as the Naga attempted to strike him once more, its weapon struck the ceiling, causing a pause. And with that, an opening. It was only within a three second period that the axe crashed against the ceiling and then the Elf's swords were buried deep between the plates of armor, impaling the sea-snake. He must have been lucky enough to strike a major organ, because the Naga immediately collapsed after letting out a roar and a frantic fall, its tail coiling and writhing for a few moments before becoming still.

What came next was Ceredor leaving the ruined building, panting and now sporting some cuts and bruises from his tumbling about, as well as a nice bit of blood that squirted at him in the last strike. He sighed, sticking one of the swords into the ground and wiping his face. "And the moon isn't even high.." He looked up at the sky. The night wasn't over though.. He worked on disposing of the Naga by attempting to get it out of the ruins. Or at least away from his 'home'. He couldn't get it far.. so instead, he just barricaded the building in which it went from the inside, slipping out from another hole, and trying to erase all markings in the dirt that hinted at it being there.

Looking up at the sky again, the moon was low.. It was almost dawn. Ceredor was tired, still feeling the pain from before, and needed his rest for the next night.. Laying down after having a small meal, he stared up at the slowly brightening sky. It was a beautiful sight. One he tried to imprint in his mind as he dozed to sleep.

Four out of fourteen.. He still had a ways to go.

Theleniel exhaled. Over the course of time, the molten crystals had become a pair of equal swaths of metal, shining iridescently against the glow of fel-flame. The searing metal was soon beaten into shape, and seemed to almost absorb the force that the beats of the hammer imparted on it, rather than exhibiting outward force and sound. Smiling to herself, the Demon Hunter glanced between her work and the progress of the Kaldorei below and ended in a grin. He'd survive. He was stubborn...

Maybe she hadn't been to hasty with gathering the Azsharite. Regardless, with great care, she fashioned a pair of discs, which she bent inwards and applied a second layer of the molten metal to, affixing them to the centers of the rest of the burning constructs. Using the sharp edge of a hunting knife in a manner akin to a chisel, she dug wicked blade-catchers and curves into the slowly-solidifying metal, before coating the side opposite the serrations with clay, and dunking the entirety of the metal in a pair of wooden troughs.

Exhaling as she watched steam rise from the bubbling liquid and dissipate in the air, the Demon Hunter sat back and watched the metal bend due to the differential heat-treating that the clay allowed for: The parts it covered cooled more slowly, whilst the serrated ones did so quickly, giving the metal a curve.

After she was certain that it was cool enough to touch, the Blood Elf raised the metallic instruments out of the water and started engraving them, using an immolated claw, drawing on them the same symbols as those on her Warglaives. Next came sharpening, and it would take a long time, as Azsharite was quite the resilient metal when it came to such... But she had time. There were days left still...

It was now seven days and soon to be seven nights.. Ceredor had been becoming a bit more open with his presence, but still keeping his base concealed. He had dispatched a total of four Naga all together. Learning more and more about their tactics from every fight. The swords were becoming less of a burden and more of a strength, his ability with them increasing daily. Now wielding them with skill, he was a much more challenging opponent for the single Naga warrior to combat. It was a quiet night tonight, his usual training underway. Swinging the blades this way and that, also working on his acrobatics while wielding and using the two swords. One had to be quick and deadly. The Demon Hunters relied greatly on speed and agility.. If he was to survive, he would need to always be at his peak. Demons were a much deadlier force than some apparently unorganized Naga. It was well past midnight and still he trained, sweat dripping from his body, his muscles aching. He had a week to go.. He needed to ready himself for whatever other trials he come across, but also needing to remember his current task.

He sighed softly, stabbing the blades into the ground as he knelt down to rest finally. Reaching over, he grabbed a skin of water, taking a long swig, then drenching himself in the liquid. There was a cool breeze this night, giving him a satisfying chilling feeling over his body. After a few minutes of rest, he rose up and glanced around. It was a quiet night. The Naga were becoming more wary, but of all the wrong locations, so he was safe for now. The Night Elf took in a deep breath, looking to the sky, admiring the stars above him. Such beauty. He would want to remember them. He spent a few minutes every night admiring the stars and skies above, the forests around. He did not plan on dying, and he knew the price of becoming a Demon Hunter. He would want to remember all of the things he was sacrificing himself for.

The next day, during the afternoon and nearing dusk, Ceredor's eyes burst open to the sound of slithering and hissing and barking of foreign orders coming from nearby. Rolling over, he quickly concealed himself best he could in the rubble in the building. Managing to get a sight of the enemy, he saw six or seven Naga passing by. But they weren't searching.. They had something with them. Someone. Multiple someones. Narrowing his eyes, he saw that they were Night Elven prisoners. His eyes widened at this, having to resist the instinct to attack the Naga and attempt to save his people. But attacking now would do him no good. Looking to the skies again, it was close to dusk.. the sun would be down soon. If they lived long enough, he would make sure they would see the morning.

He followed the group as closely as he could, studying them as much as possible. There were four prisoners, one looked to be a sentinel soldier, two seeming to be simple folk, and a robed man, a druid he assumed. He was gagged. Grinding his teeth slightly, he continued to follow them until they arrived at a small campsite in the ruins. He had noticed that the Naga, while one force together here, separated themselves by having multiple camps scattered around the ruins. Observation posts, perhaps. Either way, they didn't seem to be executing them any time soon.. so he had time.

An hour or so would pass, the prisoners bound still and kept under guard of two of the Naga, the others doing miscellaneous things around the camp. Luckily, one of the smaller Naga started to wander in his direction, checking for something.. they seemed to be on edge. He cared not the reason, only that it meant he needed to be more careful.. It approached the darkness, as if looking specifically for something special. It wandered closer and closer to him until it was just on the other side of a broken down wall. It faced away from him, giving him element of surprise.. This was a short-lived surprise as after a swift strike from behind, the Naga fell with a thud on the dirt before it could make a sound. Just as quickly as he struck, he fled, seeking refuge in the darkness. The captive Kaldorei seemed to notice something amiss in the darkness before the Naga. And they didn't seem surprised. After a few minutes, another would go out to search for the fallen one.. And due to Ceredor's newfound skills in swift attacks with his weapons, this one was dispatched fairly quickly though it was more skilled than its kin, getting a quick shout out that was cut short by the thrusting of a long blade into its chest. The other Naga were now on alert but something was happening now..

Ceredor looked toward the camp to see what he assumed the leader of the group in the middle of barking out orders when four arrows pierced its throat and skull, the large body falling down with a heavy thud. Moments later, he saw a barrage of arrows flying at the sea-beasts. He knew these tactics all too well and quickly hid in a nearby building, watching the rest unfold. After a few minutes, the captives would be set free, helping them would be a group of nine or so Kaldorei sentinels. He was lucky that they didn't see him.. but they knew of the presence. He overheard their discussion of another aiding them. He frowned as he watched the Elves in the distance.. He was getting a taste of what was to come.. the inability to bask in victory with his kin. Having to, instead of celebrate with family and friends, hide his presence and prepare for the next battle. It was painful.. But still, he pressed on.

Returning to his base, he saw that someone had been there. Most likely his kin from before. The second he noticed this, he fled into the darkness, heading around the outskirts of the ruins, to the other side. He could not remain there, not even being able to bring any supplies along. He left everything untouched. By the time he stopped to rest, the sun was nearing its rise. He needed to start from scratch.. And he still had a little less than a week. Like always.. There was more work to be done.

Theleniel smiled as she watched Ceredor and the incidental party over the days. Something about the occurrence made her feel... happy. For one, she was certain that her student was learning of the drawbacks to becoming what he wished - and she was glad that he had the strength of will to do as she asked and not convene with the outsiders. This same determination should help him pass the further trials... She just hoped his body was as resilient as his heart.

Giving the final touches to her handiwork, she examined the two weapons. A pair of Azsharite Warglaives, with bucklers to guard the hands of the Demon Hunter to wield them. They reminded her much of her own master's - Andruvinar. She felt there was some poetic irony to her being taught by a Kaldorei, only to teach a Kaldorei in turn. Perhaps she should've been born one of the Night Elves, though judging by her usual demeanor, perhaps not...

Affixing her sightless gaze to the pupil below, Theleniel hoped quietly that the Naga would not mount an organized offensive with aims to rout out Ceredor, as the elves' tainted cousins were a formidable foe when pressed and massed.

Regardless, the new Warglaives would serve well, eventually. Whether they'd serve Ceredor - to whose size they'd been built - or someone else, the matter was of no importance. She wrapped them up in a careful bundle, assuring that their blades would not touch each-other, lest they bite into one-another and damage their edges, and she slipped out of a pocket a silver handkerchief, made of the silk of Ashenvale spiders which lived around Moonwells, processed and embroidered by Arcanists, its inherent magical energies used to create something different.

The bundle of blades seemed to literally sink into the handkerchief, until it was no more. Carefully, the Demon Hunter picked up the strip of cloth and folded it, returning it from whence it came, a small smirk on her lips. She'd never been a fan of magical objects, but the Arcane did serve a good purpose in the creation of objects such as that handkerchief.

Regardless, her job was done for the time being. She climbed back to her observation mound and watched. All she could do was wait...

It had taken him two days to find a suitable place for him to rest and train. The Naga were on high alert now, which made all of his attempts at training and finding resources for survival much harder than before. They knew of his presence. Still unsure he was about, they had constant patrols, usually two or three soldiers per patrol. He was spending less time training now and more time evading and gathering. The patrols kept torches at all times, never separating, never straying apart. It was impossible to get any alone, and it would be near-impossible to take them all on, especially in his state. He was growing tired and suffering from a lack of food and supplies. Ceredor found enough to get by, but his resources were running low.. Only a few more days.

He woke up, looking around. It was dusk.. On the final night. The last few nights were dangerous and difficult. The Night Elf managed to find a small cache of food and supplies that the Naga had stored away, but he was still tired from the constant evasion. Moving anywhere outside of his sleeping area meant possible capture or conflict. But he did what he must. Through the days and nights, he would hear skirmishes in the distance, his kin battling the Highborne and he could do nothing to aid them. And this pained the Kaldorei beyond belief. But he had his goal.. and he would attain it.

The hours went by slowly. He did one more quick survey of his living area for safety and security, then settled down to train for a couple hours. Mostly workouts and simple drills. He didn't have the room for anything else. His body was becoming worn down from the past two weeks, but he held himself up, tall and strong.

Looking upwards, the sun began to rise, bringing light to the sky and washing away the night stars. The warmth on his face felt surprisingly good. He had achieved his goal.. One of them. Survive two weeks. He did so. Gathering what supplies he had, the little bit left, he started his departure, heading out of the ruins. Luckily, he had no run-ins with the Naga, or his people. Ceredor looked back at the ruins from a safe distance and there he waited for his mentor. One task was completed.. And he was ready for the next.

Theleniel skidded downhill on an intercept course with Ceredor, and came to meet him just at the base of Shadowsong Shrine. "Congratulations." she said once she stopped. "You've finished another trial. And, I think you've come to understand the nature of the choice you're making. I appreciate the dedication you've shown, and I urge you to steel your heart for the times to come."

"I hope you've managed to rest a little during your two weeks..." The Demon Hunter smiled a little.

"Either way, now you are to run to Steamwheedle Port, in Tanaris. And there will be no stopping. No rest. It's to see if you're durable enough to push on, above and beyond the point of exhaustion. Demons are persistent and relentless creatures. They will not let you take a moment's rest. And, don't drop the broadswords." the Blood Elf peered at the Kaldorei.

"Are you ready, Ceredor? I'll be at your heels the whole time, so try not to slow down..." she said, her toes curling, claws digging into the ground.

The Night Elf simply nodded as she greeted him. "Thank you.. I'm sure the next trial will be much easier." He said with a hint of sarcasm. He listened to his mentor until she was finally finished speaking. He remained silent for a moment before nodding. "I'm ready." In reality, he was in no condition for such traveling. Not constant travel. But his mind and heart.. They were more than prepared. He was dead set on his goal, and would push his body to the extreme limits and beyond to attain it.

Ceredor only rested for a few minutes then nodded and started to jog, eventually going into a run.. heading into Ashenvale then heading south. It would be a long run. And if he couldn't make it, he wasn't worthy of the Sacrifice, nor anything else. And so, his next trial began.. In his mind, he thought of the Demons.. They knew no fatigue. They needed no rest. In order to combat them effectively, he needed to be just as strong, and then stronger. For his people. That is what kept him going.. For his people.
