The Izshani
#1

IC Section:
Spoiler:
A group of night elves circle around Izshandriel Dreamstalker, her hands chained to two stone posts.

“Some legend…” remarked a Kaldorei. “The Dreamstalker, finally apprehended after all this time. The Huntress will be pleased indeed.”

“If you say so…” Izshandriel smirked.

One of the Kaldorei ripped Izshandriel’s tabard from her armor. “And what is this?”
Izshandriel scoffed, “Why, it’s a tabard.” The retort was rewarded with a punch to the face.

“I know what it is!” shouted the elf, “Who does it represent?”

The Izshani.” Izzy said, flatly.

“What… Izshani? Are you soiling the very history you came from? Azshara was the only one deserving of such a tribute to her name.” said the elf, pacing in front of Izshandriel.

“I never said it was a tribute to myself.” Izshandriel said.

“Then what? Who or what is the Izshani?”

Family. Friends. Those removed from society by force or choice…” Izshandriel looked up, “Kaldorei, Sin’dorei, Quel’dorei, human… it doesn’t matter. We are one.”

The night elves stared at Izshandriel, “So not only have you gathered an army, you’ve sided with the enemy?”

The only enemy is those who strike against us. We are all inhabitants of this world… we are all trying to live. These are dangerous times… we need to unite ourselves.” Izshandriel explained.

“You’re mercenaries, typical.” Said an elf.

“No. Family. We help each other in our life goals. We train, teach, and feed each other.”

“You almost sound like you’re atoning for your sins… how cute. Too bad your entire operation has come to an end, Dreamstalker. Starripper will be pleased to see we’ve done away with you and your army.”

Izshandriel tilted her head, her hair shadowing half of her face, “Well you’ve only captured me. The rest of us are in Deadwind Pass, in an old cellar.”

The Sentinels paused, raising curious brows, “Why would you tell us this?” asked an elf.

“Because I’d like to see you try and kill them. Soldiers, rangers, healers, mages… every one of us is prepared to defend themselves.”

"Not as prepared as you, it seems.” Scoffed an elf. “Cara, go and report to the Huntress.” One of the other Sentinels exited the ruins and headed off. Moments later a gunshot was heard.

Izshandriel chuckled quietly, her laugh growing louder and louder as she banged her metal shackles repeatedly on the stone pillars. The Sentinels looked around in panic. Then to Izshandriel who looked up at them with a smirk.

“What is this?! What is going on?!” asked the Kaldorei.

Izshandriel grinned, ear to ear, staring at the Sentinel. Then she shouted, “IZSHANI!” One of the elves tried to leave, but a bullet chipped through the stone doorway. The elf cowered back as two metal egg-shaped canisters were tossed into the ruins. An irritant fog began to emerge. The Kaldorei were at first unsure of what it was but soon felt its effects. Izshandriel shut her eyes and held her breath. All she could hear was the coughing of the elves, but soon metal footsteps before her. Her metal faceplate was locked into place, and goggles placed over her eyes.

Izshandriel looked up to see Celen, an armed Sin’dorei undoing her chains. Quickly, Celen and Izshandriel emerged from the ruins. Shortly after the Sentinels ran out, both in opposite directions. One Sentinel was met with two druids, Saellia and Flor, one in bear form, the other in cat. They growled angrily, keeping the choking elf back. Kalisha, human with a rifle, and Arntae, a Sin’dorei with a spell pre-conjured in her hands kept the elf from escaping anywhere else.

At the other entrance, the Sentinel was grabbed by the arms, apprehended by skeletal servants commanded by Teraneth the old Quel’dorei. Darius, the fierce worgen met her face to face, growling at her until she fell to her knees in fear. Celen and Izshandriel approached with weapons drawn.

We are Izshani.” Izshandriel said. “To our glory.”

OOC Section
Spoiler:

“There is reason why Azeroth is in constant disarray. There is reason why this world lies in smoldering heaps of chaos, and destruction. Azerothians are disunited with themselves. It is only through our times of unity have we vanquished evil with ease. Look at history! Sargeras and the Legion pushed back by the ancient races of Azeroth. The Scourge vanquished by the Argent knights. The Shattered Sun against Kael’thas and Kil’jaeden.

Unity is strength.

If we stand above our differences, we can see how deep and powerful collaboration is. Set your past aside; do away with grudges and biases. We all live on this world. We all seek to survive. And there is too much evil to be fighting amongst ourselves. Through harmony we can and will accomplish anything we set our minds to.”

Who are the Izshani?

“Izshani means strength that joins our strength to accomplish our goals. Arms to hold us when we fall. A circle of healing. A circle of friends. Some place where we can be free.”

The Izshani are a collective of individuals who were either outcasted from society, did not fit in, or simply did not want to be a part of it. Members have ranged from mercenaries, retired/discharged war veterans, vagrants, outlaws, prostitutes, rejects, and etc. Race is of no concern, and neither is origin.

What do we do?

Sometimes the goals we wish to achieve can only be done with the help of others. So, through collaboration, we help each other reach success. Was your family murdered by bandits? We will take vengeance with you. Is your expedition too dangerous to take alone? We will escort you. The Izshani are a family and will stick together to the very end. Apart from our own goals, we seek to exchange talents. We train each other to fight, use magic, trade skills and academics.

The Izshani also name themselves as an active force on Azeroth, seeking to destroy all that endanger the safety of the world, whether it’s a band of highwaymen, cultists, or even a dragon should the need call for it. At the present moment, the Izshani receive funds indirectly from House Sunfire, as Izshandriel continues her employment. Concurrently, should House Sunfire require the services of the Izshani, they will oblige in gratitude for essentially putting food on their table.

Base of Operations

The Izshani have migrated to several locations, each often being compromised and declared too dangerous to live in. For now, the Izshani dwell in an old cellar in the Deadwind Pass, but even now dangers loom around, waiting to encroach on the safety of the Izshani.

How to Join

To join, just give me a PM on the forums, or a whisper in-game. If I'm not available, speak to one of the members of the Izshani that way we can work out an RP initiation of your character.
Ranking

The Izshani do not believe in ranks. While it is headed by Izshandriel Dreamstalker, she imposed the use of roles rather than ranks. Each rank would unify its members and act as a single unit. There is no such thing as a superior in the Izshani, only the friends beside you. Come to logical and collective agreements and press forward. Even Izshandriel’s word is not law should there be a mutual opinion on the matter at hand.

Ranger:
Rangers come in all shapes, sizes, and skills. While not particularly reserved to hunters, rangers act as the Izshani’s eyes. They scout, and survey the lands around acting as the main reconnaissance for the guild. In times of battle, rangers support the Izshani from either a distance or the shadows making deadly use of traps and ambushes.

Magus:
While Izshandriel may know nothing of magic, she does agree it is very powerful. The use of magic of any kind would put one’s self with the other magi in Izshani. Whether the magic was arcane, demonic, or from the world itself, a magus would learn to use their skills alongside others, no matter the diversity.

Mender:
Countless times have the Izshani come to harm, especially in dark times such as these. While all menders are prepared to defend themselves at any time, they are often support from behind in battle, allowing their allies to continue to push forward no matter the damage. And when all fighting is over, all of the Izshani have the menders to thank as they lay in their cots watching their wounds close by the warm hands of their healers.

Soldier:
The core of the Izshani defense comes the soldier, trained by Izshandriel herself. Soldiers will face harsh but rewarding training, with a goal in finding the best weapon, armor, and fighting style for each individual soldier. Though the Izshani members are all trained to defend themselves, the soldiers act as the main guard and protectors of those less prepared to fight whether those people are part of the Izshani or not.

Specialist:
Some individuals of the Izshani do not fit in a particular category when it comes to combat. Some specialize in other aspects, such as academics, diplomacy and etc. While specialists can very well be combat efficient, they are more acclaimed for their talents in other fields, whatever it may be. The Izshani welcome all skills and talents to the table.

Artificer:
The artificers of the Izshani are the craftsman of the family. Whether they cook, smith, or brew, they are a welcome addition to the guild and an invaluable resource. Typically, are not known for their prowess in combat, though they may also be fighters. Artificers are initially requested to stay behind those ready to fight should trouble arise, as the loss of an artificer could be devastating in the long run.

Rules:
Follow the server rules. And most importantly, what happens in IC, stays IC. The same goes for OOC. Just as the Izshani is a guild of unity, I would like to bring that out in OOC as well. We’re all friends here! Talk out issues if there are any. Worst thing you can do is bottle things up.
