I am missing the wow.exe from my folder (not sure if I deleted it) and I would need one before I can play. I can't continue connecting to the server, until I get one.
Can someone send me a link or something so I can get it.
I'm too afraid to download one off the internet, so my folder wont get messed up!
Thanks in advance!

Heya

I've reinstalled WoW using the complete torrent (not the four-part one), but it refuses to run. It will load for a while in the task manager (but never show an icon or anything) then show this and close :
This application has encountered a critical error:
Wow.mfil download error: Failed to parse patch data from server 'http://logon.conquestofthehorde.com'

I've copy-pasted the realmslist from here. I use Vista 8.1. I've also re-downloaded the CotH folder with no change.
I have also looked through the CotH search, especially this thread, and none of what was suggested worked.

Any hints please? (If you tell me to download the 4-part torrent, please kindly point to help on installing the WOD skin patch with that version).
Thanks in advance

So this morning I was woken up by my sister who was freaking out over our ISP locking out internet over torrenting the Mac Cata client. While me torrenting this is actually legal since I own WoW, it can still prove difficult for people who aren't fully aware of the loopholes in the DMCA or what is actually a legal and illegal download, even if the host site isn't authorized to hold the data.

Simply put, it might be a good idea to find a way to privately host the WoW installations for PC and Mac. I know SuddenLink has really cracked down on anything that could be found through piratebay or a select other torrent websites. I mean, somehow they even noted I used Bittorrent to download the Mac client.

Luckily SuddenLink has a three strikes system. I managed to get this one wavered as a false positive. Here's a screenshot of the notice that came up on my sister's iMac for reference.

Spoiler:

Guess I need to beef up my online anonymity.

Heya! Just recently got my introduction accepted, but I'm having difficulty progressing to filling out my character profile and getting downloads/installation sorted out due to an error I'm running into when attempting to access the wiki.
This message pops up after a lengthy load time when I attempt to access any page on the wiki. It was working fine for the first four or five hours of my time on the site, but it's quit working since then. Any notions as to what the issue might be or how to amend it? I've included the FAQ hyperlink, but as the Google FAQ seems to suggest it's a host-side error, I'm not terribly certain what to do other than post here.

So I've been trying to get my WoW folder set up so's I can get online, but I've been having some problems.

I've read the connection guides multiple times but it seems that either they need to be updated or my WoW folder is just weird, because there's no realmlist file, no Patch.MPQ file, no repair function...basically everything mentioned in the guides is missing from my WoW folder. I've scoured the site and looked on google for solutions and explanations, though the only advice I've seen is to make your own realmlist file using Notepad, which I did. That still leaves everything else undone, however.

So is there a revised guide somewhere that might offer solutions to this problem? Or is my WoW folder just a weirdo?

Thanks for any answers!

So recently I've been trying to get the custom patch working to no success. I've tried downloading those patchers listed but all they've done is tried to give me viruses. I downloaded the streaming client (that one that downloads while you play just to clarify). I'm just not sure how to proceed as it is. Also I've tried the comdlg.ocx stuff and nothing has changed for the patcher. On the title screen its x86. Hope these images help:
