Do the events start today at noon or next week? I'm rolling a mage by the name of Gray, do I have to write a special character profile for this? Sorry about the questions, I'm new to the event aspect of RPing.

I also have a small question, shall the scarlet RP be strictly during events? Or are those with Scarlet Characters also free to RP amongst themselves in the phased Monastery? I'm asking because I might not have the time to stay for the entire duration of the events, but I absolutly do love the Crusade and would love to get in on this.

Well, no. The first event is going to be next week or the week after, most likely. Check the Event-Planning post, which is right beneath the first post in the thread.

You don't have to make a profile, no. That is entirely optional, as I stated. If you choose to write one, then it must be a special profile.

The introductory post is edited to help answer some of the questions that have been raised. Also, the first event of the chain is now up.

I'd recommend that everyone start working on their characters (forming armor sets, levelling, and writing profiles, if you so choose), and be ready to go before the event. I'll have a brief introductory meeting with everyone, and then we'll start.

If you want to be involved, but can't make it this weekend, please send me a PM, and we'll work out the details there.

If Sundays at noon (server-time) isn't ever going to be a time you'll be able to attend, then playing a Scarlet probably isn't an option for you. My apologies.

Also, there's a guy in the death knight quests that wears pally T2 gear, Scarlet Commander Rodrick, would we be able to wear that too? Or are we staying away from that?

I'll start inviting people at the time of the first event. That said, if you happen to see me on Scibryn in /who (probably spawning things, etc.), you can send me a whisper as your scarlet for a pre-emptive invite.

I've taken the time to create animated previews for most all of the red vanity sets. I think you might find some things that you can mix and match to create your own scarlet uniform, and not be wearing something so iconic and perhaps overused.

Sidenote: I was a huge fan of the Judgement set when I started on CotH. I'm not hatin', just trying to give a heads-up as to what others might think.

First, read everything you can about the Scarlet Crusade, including the things in spoilers in my original post. Then, make the character, have an idea as to their personality and backstory, and equip them with whatever you think the scarlets would have given them. Profiles are not necessary, but are certainly an option.

Level range makes absolutely no difference. You'll do almost all of your RPing in phase 2, surrounded by neutral mobs. The combat will be strictly text-based.

If you want to wear plate armor or what have you, you'd have to grind to level 20. There's literally no reason to get to a higher level, since there won't be any mounted combat. If I could make Blood Elf paladin mounts available to humans as regular mounts, that might be different- But that's neither here nor there.
