Trolls be flippin' out mon!

Greetings everyone! I would like to note that I won't take much of your time with this post. From what I've seen the most playable races in the server humans and blood elves. But of course those are stuff that I've seen, maybe I am mistaking. The main reason why I am making this thread is to motivate people and maybe make something out of this.

I really like playing my troll Rezzak. He has been the most interesting character for me so far and I simply adore him. I just want to point out that trolls are simply the most interesting class for me. Their race hides so much things that even people sometimes don't notice that. If you have ever played a troll and had rice and crab meat mixed up together in a soup then you know how funny that is. We all know that sometimes trolls are really fun and interesting to play. They hide the art of joking and fooling around in their body, but I would like to say that they are probably the most serious race in WoW. The troll magic users blend into a way more different magic style and culture. Their beliefs are really mysterious and catchy for the player.

I simply tried to point out a few examples of what I think about the trolls. If I continue to give examples to you I'm sure it would feel stupid, because you can simply check them out just by typing for the information. If you feel somekind of love and you want to try out their way of style or maybe roleplay you can always send me a message or whisper me in-game. It would be really nice if people spice the races a bit or maybe make our own big guild full with trolls :o

Of course we can always try into another race but... think about it. Woudn't it be awesome if we blend into another interesting and catchy race rather than humans and elves.

That's all I wanted to say! I don't want anyone to get me wrong into ignoring these races. I have a human myself and I really enjoy roleplaying her. I'm sure there are alot of stuff to point out but I will be really happy to hear your suggestions!

As someone who RP'd a troll Witch Doctor who exiled himself from the Hakkari tribe, I fully support this.
Do you have what it takes to join the Fighting Blues?
Do you have what it takes to defend your homeland?
Will you stand up in defense of the innocent? The weak?
Will you stand up in defense of Justice and the Law?

I think everyone's going to have their comfort zone spread across a few races or character types and generally find themselves disinterested or bored when stepping outside. While I have a human character I can never seem to find myself wanting to do any dedicated human rp. I have a proclivity towards female characters and as such I usually go for the most stylized, or husky body types.

I really liked trolls in the beginning but my interest for female trolls tapered off(mostly due to the bored/uninterested faces and incredibly straight posture), especially when I found the orc to be a good candidate to either rp alongside trolls, or to absorb trollish culture. Almost then after when I had a dedicated troll character it was often male, and abusive, mostly because I found myself comfortable with the accent and easy to pull an antagonist out of the darker aspects of what trolls have to offer.. but then again my interest tapered off.

In the end while it could be good to go outside your comfort zone people shouldn't feel obligated to play something they don't like at all, or what bores them. Some people may think that aesthetic shouldn't matter at all but I think it matters even more when you are presented with an image of your character at all times so that's what the character quickly becomes in yours, and everybody else's, mind. I think I would feel more inclined to play a female troll if I had to represent her through drawing, letting me pick and choose her body language, demeanor, body type, and face (and possibly hairstyle too). I guess in the end for females it felt a little gimped and it became harder to imagine being a primitive, ancient, jungle race when they didn't have much semblance to their male counterparts.

Best way to gain interest in a race (especially one as epic as Trolls!) is being active on them. There are actually quite a few Troll lovers on the server (even have a little clique of them in the current Kidnapped event), so your call for more Troll RP will likely not go unheeded. Just a matter of coming up with fun and exciting things to do with them!

Also, this picture made me d'aww so much, so I'm quoting it again!

With Trolls as my favourite race, I approve of this message.

Trolls are the one race I have little to no experience in roleplaying with.

One reason I've avoided them is because I'm absolutely horrid with anything but dwarven accents, and don't believe I could pull it off. But, some of my favorite characters on the server are trolls. ( IE: Mokaku ) This makes me love the race, but also intimidates me into not playing one.

... Lost my train of thought. Uh. Yeah, so, I'd be up for RPing one if some troll experts out there would be kind enough to lend a helping hand.

EDIT: Also, it would give me an excuse to RP with Hawknub again.

You know, back in the days of WC3, I actually liked more than just orcs. Yes, it's true! I loved all of the original Horde races, including trolls and tauren. Yet, I don't find myself playing either of those races, just a bunch of orcs. I stopped to ask myself why.

I think part of it is that I really, really hate the changes to trolls in WoW compared to WC3. The troll model in WoW is painfully lanky, and it really bothers me to look at, while the tauren model has always look rather...off to me with the gigantic hump. Granted, orcs suddenly suffered from curved spines in WoW that they didn't have in WC3, so all of the Horde races got mysteriously uglier in the transition, but somehow I loved orcs enough that I got over their model. I never did for trolls.

I'd probably like to do more with the races at some point. I have a troll character that I never really play, and an idea for a tauren character if I want to roll one. But the other problem I run into is getting consistent RP for Horde characters, and I already have so many orcs.

SO MANY ORCS!

More love for all of the Horde races would be adored. I want to see orc/tauren/troll RP rise up again. It's just difficult, especially if their already small populations fragment further.
Have you hugged an orc today?

I personally don't mind the blood elves and humans but think about it. If we spice these stuff a bit the action would be much bigger and interesting for all of us! And about the troll model thing I only think the women model looks kinda silly but it's still acceptable. :D

This postshas actually made me think about rerolling Vik, maybe roll her as I dunno, a shadow-priest or something. Maybe actually write her this time on paper rather than just in my head. /shrug. Perhaps when I get home and feel like writing.
I will not be forgotten. This is my time to shine. I've got the scars to prove it. Only the strong survive. I'm not afraid of dying. Everyone has their time. Life never favored weakness.

Welcome to the pride!

Trolls? I don't know what you're all on about.

Nope.
Feedback Thread.

Common Sense; Questionable, still there.

I love trolls. Always have. I'm just kinda bummed that we only get to play the Jungle flavour, 'cause although they're awesome, there's such a massive, untapped variety in the other empires. Also, as Grakor mentioned, they adopted a spindly appearance (not to mention the bizarre dimorphism) in the MMO that feels odd. Aesthetically, I'd be cool with digitrade trolls.

...Laments aside, if anyone wants to start up some troll RP, I'm down.

That's actually a very interesting variation of a non-furry/paw digitrade o:
