WoW as a Dragon Age RP Base

I was looking at the "what does your character sound like" and Telah said he sounded like the Arishok from Dragon Age 2. So I was like, you know what? Draenei kind of look like qunari! So then I thought, hey! Warcraft would make a pretty good base for Dragon Age RP!

Obviously, draenei make fairly passable qunari. Humans make humans. Elves? Elves, man. Just small blood elves.

I think the most challenging match would be darkspawn. Demons would be easier. Succubus for desire demon. Fire elemental for rage demon. Etc.

Meritorious idea with some small amount of effort, I think. I'm sure I'm not the first person to think of it.

Unfortunately, we'd like to keep the world of Warcraft to.. well, the world of Warcraft. Believe me, I have had such an idea before and, upon running the concept with a high-ranking FUN POLICE certain GM and Administrator, it was shot down. Not just like that, mind you; he gave me well-placed reasons as to why any other RPG universe wouldn't work with the Warcraft one.

Still, there's always Skype RP! You could look for interest in this endeavour and, if you're a good Dungeon Master, create a storyline in the world of Ferelden for the other players to enjoy togheter with you. Just.. without fancy graphics, but that's been done before and it was okay.

I think it's a good idea to just keep universes separate, perhaps take ideas from one, and then fit them to the current universe, but not let the two bleed into one another. I do that with warhammer and warcraft to a point.

You could probably pull it off with the power of imagination, but do note this is a Warcraft server, not a Dragon Age server. If you want to use CotH for Dragon Age RP, you'd have to keep it private! I would suggest trying it out on Skype though. Skype RP is where I get some of my fun personal RP done.

Regardless, I wish you luck in finding good Dragon Age RP.

((It wouldn't be that hard to do because both Dragon Age and WoW are relatively generic fantasy settings. I'm sure you can find similarities in models because both settings use very similar creatures, with few exceptions.

Everyone united to fight them.
They convert those that they kill into more Darkspawn
They are literally controlled by a higher power. Archdemon - Lich King they both control them through their mind/telepathic messages. I think.

I think the model of the Wretched would be a great model for Darkspawn.... if they were missing the fancy elven clothing, and added more brutal, scary armors.
