First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:

I've been playing retail WoW since early 2005. Since then, I was interested in pvp and focused on it until I started to RP with a few people on my server. Shortly after WotLK was released, I ditched pvping completely and shut down my retail account. Being a heavy play-by-post RPer before I got into WoW, I've been dying for an alternative way to RP.

IRL- I'm an economic analyst, when I'm off the job I enjoy photography and making music. I'm a pretty creative person, and RP is a great outlet for it. I love to travel, and have been to quite a few countries. I plan to travel plenty after I retire, and maybe take up photojournalism while I'm at it.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:

I was born in San Fransisco, California. I moved to upstate New York with my family while I was in my teens and have stayed there ever since. My primary language is English.

How did you get into Warcraft?:

An old psychologist told me about it while I was in high school. I played Warcraft 3 while I was younger, and hadn't heard the name since. I quickly got a trial account and moved up from there.

What made you seek our server over others?:

I've been window shopping for private RP servers ever since I stopped playing my retail WoW account. It seems like a pretty community-oriented server, and isn't over-inclusive. After browsing the storylines forum it seemed easily like the best choice. I also think the server wiki is awesome.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?

Well-built, complex roleplay is some of my favorite. I love to delve into the psychology of my characters and occasionally create biographys written by year of my characters. Any type of roleplay with a lot of character interaction is great, goal-oriented RP usually yields some great substance of writing.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:

Favorite race? I'd have to go with Tauren. Their culture was very well thought-out by blizzard, even though I think they lack a little bit of lore. The way the Tauren fit in so well with the Warcraft universe, as well as stick out when comparing them to other playable classes is very interesting.

As for class, I'd say paladin. I adore hybrid classes, and this one integrates it's seperate roles well. When it comes to RP, the lawful good alignment often found attatched to paladins is pretty enjoyable to play. Writing history and having character interactions while roleplaying a paladin takes a lot of creativity to break out of the stereotype while maintaining a realistic character. If this is done well, RP can become very, very rich.

What are your expectations of this server?:

I'm hoping it has storyline and location-based RP as well as some great writers. A homely OOC community would be pretty nice, as well as warm people. I'm very open-minded, so I don't usually expect very particular things. :]

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:

"Knowing when to quit" is definately my favorite. When I'm RPing I strive to balance the disconnection between my mind and my character (In fact, I often find the same amount of enjoyment in this as the roleplay itself). Having other people doing the same will help me enjoy the roleplay a huge amount more. I've also witnessed bad run-ins with OOC drama, and it can easily ruin roleplay.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:

(( I'll go with something a little slice-of-lifey to show my writing ))

Adam stepped out across the deck to lean against it's metal railing. He breathed a heavy sigh of relief after escaping from the Lounge's aroma, which was reminiscent of heavy perfume. Adam looked up to the slowly rolling sky, and let his thoughts wander. The clouds moved like waves, almost as if heaven was reflecting the ocean around Northrend even more beautifully than it already was. He was interrupted by footsteps emerging from the exit. A lady neared the railing, walking across the deck as if the action should be a gentle waltz. The lounge's scent escorted her while she did so, before stopping and leaning against the railing with him. Adam looked over to the woman. She parted her lips to speak as softly as she walked, "The sky is nice today, isn't it Adam?"

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
Not at the moment, I'm sure I'll find some questions to ask once I start playing though :]
Another up-state New Yorker! Muahahaha...*cough cough.*
