I don't see anyone in the chat, but the server appears offline to me. Just wondering if it's actually down, or if it's only me who's having the issue. It won't progress past the "logging in" part, and if I cancel the login, it shows me a server list with CotH being offline.

It's not as much a matter of patience as it is wanting to know what happened to the server. Could be waiting weeks, only to find out the problem wasn't a problem for anyone else. Wouldn't be the first time that's happened to me
