I'd like to try to answer your questions Nexi.

You see, I thought accents were from mouth shape and where they grew up, changing the dialect. Like, A troll speaking common would have issues due to the big tusks in his mouth, but when he spoke Troll everything would be ok because they developed the language for having tusks. Orcs sound brutish when speaking common because their mouth is set to speak the otherwise harsh sounding Orcish. So on and so forth. I think the same is with Draenei speaking Common. Their mouth and their speaking habits are formed around their native language. Thus, the accent. In my opinion, that is.

Now, how Common became the universal language. I like to think of Common as English. English has spread really far, most countries have English as their second language. Common, spread much like English had in our world. The Humans made good friends with the dwarves. The dwarves picked it up, then the gnomes picked it up. They then help the High Elves and now the Elves teach the Humans how to use magic and they pick up Common to do that. Then those other races might have passed Common off to someone else, etc. Humans became a big deal and with that, so did their language. Anyone who wanted to interact with Humans had to learn Common.

Now for the Orcish/Common thing, I know Kretol did it so that everyone can RolePlay together, but I think he managed to turn Orcish into Common (Or Common into Orchish). I suppose In Character you could put brackets to show you were talking in Orcish, but otherwise, it'll come out as Common.

That's just my two cents on the issue Nexi, I hope I answered your questions.
My only confusion about common is that some people say it is universal only to Azeroth, some say others, but Ogres' main language is Low Common. The language all tribes speak. They are from Draenor.

Language for tribes and races were added with the PnP RP. Is it possible that they claiming low common to all ogres, including the ones on Draenor is just to simplify it all? So that a GM making his own adventures would know what to do.

Otherwise we have to assume they stumbled upon it right after the second war and that it has spread like wildfire.
