I do believe that something is wrong with the ingame bodies for me.

Whenever I enter into a certai ndistance of an NPC/Player parts of their bodies become invisible. A scalp here, an arm there, a segment of the chest cavity thrown in...

It's very distressing.

I've had people yell at me to update my video card, to change my graphics and to sacrifice myself to the computer.

All in all, what should I do?
Try Repair.
That usually happens to me when I stand close to them and zoom in. Not just CotH but since retail. *shrug*
No dice for either suggestions.

I've even tried updating the drivers and that did nothing.

Bluh...
Maybe try tampering with the in-game video options?

*shrug*
Id go with re-installing WoW from a reliable source (such as a CD-rom) and not the internet programs, If you have already done this I have no ideas at all.
This happened to me after a recent patch (one of the 3's?).

Anywho, I updated my video card drivers and the problem fixed itself. Give that a try.
Try changing from Direct3D to OpenGL. Or vice-versa.
Turn down your video options as low as you possibly can. What's happening is that you're card can't display the portions that are missing... probably due to shadow rendering, or some other lovely crap blizz added in that not everyone who originally bought the game can use.
Or it's just the program he's using. Same thing happened with me.
Know the vent over the lava moat in Ironforge?
In Direct3D mode, that vent does not appear. I appear to float over lava.
I fixed it by changing to OpenGL.
