Being unique and different does not necessarily make someone a Mary Sue. It's a potential symptom, but it is not the sole characterization. If all of our characters were cut from the same cloth, roleplaying would be boring. There would be little need to roleplay because the potential conflicts that could arise would only be the same over and over and over again.
You can choose to be different and portray it in such a way that it's not only accepted but also a skilled performance. Furthermore, the vast (and, addmittedly, contradictory) lore of the Warcraft universe allows for a lot of leeway in the type of characters you play. In this situation, even if you chose to see that Fel-Sworn could only be those who serve the Burning Legion, the established standards on this server (as defined by our own wiki) provides a different potential spin on the class type. As long as you develop a reasonable character founded in the lore and guidelines of the universe (and don't exceed generally accepted constraints), it shouldn't be too much of a concern.
