First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player.:
As a player, I tend to find myself moving with a group. When it comes down to game play, Quests are fun and story-arcs more so but Dungeon's take the cake for me. This is because I always take the most pleasure in taking a specialised responsibility, one where it's up to me because I'm the one who can or has been deemed capable. On one of my characters, I tanked and this fitted me nicely, I enjoyed this role greatly as it put me in a position of responsibility where there was a genuine dependency on my abilities. I've strongly considered taking a healing class, as this preference for specialised responsibility leads me to play medic and support classes on other games.

However, this should not be mixed up with the responsibilities of leadership. I lead a group when I need to, but I was never born to be a hotshot leader. I've organised full RP events, but I've never assumed a leadership role in them as other's in my guild often volunteer to, leaving me second in command during the event. This translates very strongly into my guild affairs. I'll find myself comfortable at a standard membership level but I'll strive to be higher knowing I'll probably not be suited for Guild leader, leading me to be happy at a side position. For example, I've been an event organiser and created the graphics for my guild's web pages before. These are responsibilities given to me, but I'm not best suited to giving responsibilities out to other people. Playing the loyal private has worked out for me well.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?
Born on the Isle of Wight (England) 1992, my primary language is english with very mild spatterings of french.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
I saw someone playing it, it intrigued me. I looked it up on the web and decided I wanted to get it; it seemed right up my street. I first went Gnome mage (a foolish mistake, I quickly learned mages where the most difficult class to solo). This quickly turned to a Human Paladin, who I enjoyed instantly. It was a solo-able class, a mix of game play elements using melee attacks, magic and healing and tanking was a genuinely useful niche which people liked you for.

Eventually, while fun, I couldn't find a good enough reason to keep coming back. Same world where low levels didn't get recognition and the people didn't seem real even though it was an online game. They all just flew past you and people often didn't even talk in dungeons on my server.

I chose to jump into the deep end. I transferred my human Paladin to an RP server, bought a copy of Warcraft III and instantly fell in love with the story of Warcraft and the people who seemingly added an extra layer to it and made the world happen. It was a game where people were willing to be immersed and be part of the world. From that point on, I was well and truly 'into' Warcraft. The rest is lore. (History, lore, see what I did there?)

What made you seek our server over others?:
A friend told me about the server, he plays on it. (Avitz, I'm not sure about his character names). I enjoy playing with him, so I thought I'd check it out. I though it'd be just another server, then I find out about these rigorous stages of admission everyone goes through and how grunts are capped at 50. This got me interested. A server dedicated more to RP than levelling, more about story and people than stats and numbers. While the blizzard servers had this, there was nothing stopping the people who only cared about stats and numbers onto the server, no administration. It's not my place to complain, but the sheer amount of OOC in say killed it sometimes. (And while some of them double bracketed it, still. Just... why!)

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
I'm all for group to crowd role-play and action. This can be anything from a meeting of a Guild in a Tavern to a full on in character Dungeon run. PvP's fine, but I hear this server uses rolls to determine IC fights, I've never seen this in Warcraft before but I've done it in Dungeons and Dragons so I'd be interested to see how it works in the server. Basically, I prefer 3 - 4 people or more in a role-playing group, but 1 on 1 conversation is fine too, it's just a preference. At the end of the day, I enjoy most roleplay. (But leave e-rp in /whisper please. I don't mind if you do it, so long as I don't know your doing it.)

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
This is difficult, as over time I've developed many favourites. Gnomes for their bizarre and mechanical disposition, Tauren for their peaceful nature as a stark contrast to a War torn world and Humans for their holy heroes and their proper, old fashioned Paladins.

My favourite class is easily Paladins, not least for their varied and unique mechanics, but also for the lore surrounding them from the off. Basically, if I could've created a Gnome with a class that's as lore rich as Paladins (though not necessarily Paladins) I probably would have by now.

What are your expectations of this server?:
If I talk to a man he'll respond. How well he responds doesn't matter, the point is he tried. If a man talks to me I'll respond, safely in the knowledge that everyone's here because they RP and they understand what immersion can do to a game, or even any media!

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
"Public character channels, such as /say, /emotes and /yell should be in character (IC) as much as possible, but out of character (OOC) chat is permitted as long as it is clearly defined, such as by double parenthesis ((as such)). Be aware that people usually dislike this, and will ask you to stop if you speak out of character in a channel reserved for IC communication."

Public RP servers are littered with people who don't actually role-play, I don't mind but they still use say for all their chat. I have say bubbles up as it helps in group RP, but OOC bubbles just confuse the running conversation half the time. I don't mind OOC, I just think it has its place, like /p or /g (depending on your group or guild) but seldom /s.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
9th hour. A man walked in today. He didn't knock and he didn't wait, he walked in. The door was locked, how did he walk in? His boots seemed heavy, their thudding pounded through the woodwork with each tireless step. This giant stopped and peered down at me. This man, this black mass of metal hiding beaten flesh. A whiny came from outside. Screaming. Footsteps. No, footsteps is a light word, like the gentle patter of a child's feet. These people were running. What from? Where there more? The galloping of hooves, slowly getting quieter, ever distant. Did they open the gate?

11th hour. The man is still here; there are no more hooves, no more whinnying. Why can't I move. What scares me? This towering mass that constantly stares, isn't he here to kill me? The screaming stopped ages ago, the hooves too. The horses must be gone, are the people dead? Why aren't I?

13th hour. The man averted his longing gaze. Relief. His seemingly invisible bindings are undone, I can move. But I don't. Not before him. It's too dangerous a prospect, nothing sudden now.

14th hour. He moves. His feet once again pound the ground as he slowly makes way towards the door. The door seems to follow him as he moves through the musty frame, slamming shut as I see the last of him. I finally move. I've been still all day but I feel full of motion. I bound towards the door, wrenching it open but he's already disappeared. All I'm left with is an empty village with empty stables.

Final hour. A man walked in today. I fear for the next place his feet will fall.

(This is a bit experimental, I don't write much. The idea is a situation is told only through what the man can sense from in his house)

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
I can't think of anything at the moment. I hope this passes I guess :)
