I'm kinda curious if this certain mob is allowed IC as a pet. Not as the one holder of Loque'nahak, but the skin would work well with a bunch of other RPs. It doesn't seem to spawn, so I'm curious as to whether that's a problem or whether it was taken out on purpose by a GM for this reason...
As far as I know no mobs have been removed for a reason like that, so most likely the mob just won't spawn by itself.
It has an eight hour spawn...but since no one really runs after it all day here I figured I would find it. I'mma go look for it again on the off chance someone was purposefully going to kill them...is such a monster allowed IC as a pet? It's a spirit beast, after all, but not translucent like the banned spiritual tiger.
I have no clue what the beast is, but if it seems plausible that someone would be able to tame it I'd say yes, if it doesn't seem plausible (a core hound would probably be a stretch, for an example, but some races/characters might be able to pull it off) I'd go for something else.

This is an image of Loque'nahak, in case you were wondering what he looked like.
I am mainly just asking because I know things have been banned from lore for their extraordinary looks or origin. Technically the spirit tiger (like the one ghost mount) is a tamable monster :3.

If it's allowed in game but there's no spawn then how would I go about acquiring one?
I remember looking for him in retail! I also remember how EPIC it was when he spawned, and that I nearly got him, when suddenly some stupid nelf popped in and ninja-ed him from me. :( Luckily I had friends and we killed him and his little would be pet too. If I couldnt have him! No one could!!!!! :P
Now, where's Gigi?

I think it'd be pretty absurd for your average hunter to have. If I saw someone with that, I'd just sort of turn around and walk away; I mean, look at that thing! It's some strange snow leopard-arcane beast dealio!

If some average hunter got it, he wouldn't be average anymore would he?

/Wrist

Then again this is probably another thing we're restricted from.
I would personally say only if you did a story line to go with it, get some shamans, mages, that kind of thing together, and then go out hunting for it. I mean, it's a SPIRIT beast. It's supposed to be extremely hard to find, much less tame. You'd need more than just a doggy treat for that. LOL
If I was talking about getting the Raven lord you'd be right, but there's a certain amount of animal empathy that would allow this kind of thing to happen that would make having a shaman with you seem outlandish. As for turning away...well, it's not like we're all civilians who have never seen fighting. That's like you'd turn away seeing EVERY death knight and their glowing weapons. It's a beast with a large amount of magical influence in it. There are numerous kinds of animals.

There's no reason you can't have this anymore than you can't have a raptor...or anything really. It's an animal. (Alright, I've defended my ability to have this animal. Bring in the swarm of people that explain reasons for and against!)

As for the "go out and hunt it with a bunch of people initiative"...it's really not something anyone would want to hunt to TAME...how would you explain that IC or in a bio? The only way most hunters explain their animal companion is a mutual bond...not forced ownership.
