Priests can cause pain through the Mind of an enemy (such spells as Mind blast, Mind flay etc.) And we assume that the pain would be felt in the head right? For example if I was in an RP fight, and it followed like this...(assuming the attack was a hit) "Steari puts two fingers to her temple, closes her eyes and concentrates hard, she chants a short word and as she snaps her eyes open a blast of shadow damage sears Guntuks mind" I would reply with something like "Guntuk drops his axes and falls to his knees, he lets out a roar of pain as his huge hands clasp to his head. Tears run down his face as the magic burns his mind" Or something, but I would assume that the pain would be in my head (mind -> head).
But...
Warlocks cause pain through the Soul of an enemy (such spells as Drain soul, Soulfire etc.) But I would not know where to feel the pain. Would it be a full inner-body stabbing pain? A skin burning pain? Something pumping through your blood? Chest? Head?
I honestly dont know what to think and I'd like to get your opinions on this so please tell me what you think :D

Tradition holds that the soul is taken from the base of the skull.

Don't know if that helps or not.

In my oppinion the spells having 'soul' in them have nothing to do with the actual soul. Warlocks shadow magic is different from that of shadowpriests and affect the physical. I imagine a concentrated bolt of entropy. So it would hurt much like acid or being boiled I guess.
But where? A boiling inside? On the skin? In the Veins?

Most Warlock skills are direct attacks that feel like being hit by magic (I.E. Shadowbolt, which is entropy, or Fire-based attacks), but curse-type skills likely cause wracking pains all over the body among their other myriad effects.
Oh, that depends I guess.
Drain Soul perhaps might not even hurt at all or feeling like one is loosing breath.
Drain Life could also be painless and just manifest as a growing lethargy.
Soulfire on the other hand is just fire, alot and hot coming at you very fast.

In truth it is all personal and almost endless. But for example I'd try to imagine spells that are similar to the ones I am gonna use and come up with how they differ. Corruption and Curse of Agony would not feel like the blood is boiling, cause DKs do that. While Corruption most likely feel more like a poision since Curse of Agony would be pure pain, a trick of the nerves.

That sounds about right to me. I think draining a soul could feel like losing breath.

I guess Warlocks would be capable of giving agonizing pain to another person's soul if they became adequately powerful, so I would think that a "soul pain" would be one from within the chest that spreads throughout the entire body. Like a cold, sharp pain from your heart that slowly grows into the arms and legs as the warlock gets a real grip of your entire soul.

And if your soul was being drained, it could feel like the above but also with a sense of the pain growing outwards from the body, as if your body isn't even in pain anymore. And, of course, the breathlessness would occur as your soul is fully drained, with you not being inside your own body anymore, so to speak.

It's all speculation though, really. As far as my belief goes, souls don't exist, but headaches do. So you can just make a psychic pain a really bad headache, but a pain from the soul? I guess it's all up to you.

But from what I know about fictional souls, they are in the entire body or in the center. And the cold pain could be as the soul is taken from it's "shell" and brought into the outside world for the first time. Haha, that's enough speculation from me.

To sum up: I guess it's up to you, as you can't feel a pain from your soul where-as you can feel a very bad pain in the head.
Your soul is being ripped from your body. Drained. Into a small gem. I believe souls can be tortured/hurt in Warcraft. Therefore, I imagine having your soul torn from you is a very alarming, scary, and painful experience.

A note. The 'Drain Soul' spell does damage. That means it hurts you in some way, shape, or form. It is not painless. It does not just make you 'Oh, I feel out of breath'. It hurts. It hurts like someone ripping your torso in half. Slowly. The pain only ends when your soul is torn from you, and even then, it's trapped inside a small gem. Imagine being stuck in a tiny cell that would make someone who is claustrophobic scream in terror, with absolutely no way out.

Or, if you want to think of it another way. Think of being frozen in a large block of ice. Only able to witness, but never influence the things that happen around you. Always conscious.

And then there's the part where that Warlock uses you to summon a demon. Your soul is either eaten, or it is sent to hell (Or maybe both! Who knows!)

Having your soul drained is not painless. In fact, I don't think there's such a thing as a 'painless' or 'soothing' Warlock spell. They are all -very- painful.
Now -that-, was the kind of answer I was looking for.
