Anski and I are going to be hosting an event this Saturday. The exact time is up in the air, as we'll be playing it by ear, but it will occur in Azshara Crater and will be open to both factions, though with a cap of about ten people in it. The exact nature of this event will be revealed in time. Do not worry if you miss this one, there will (hopefully) be plenty more in the future.

We will also be using a variant on the /roll 50 system. In order to combat excessively long streaks of misses for people who roll badly, the rolls will end up working something like this:

Attacker rolls above defender (30 vs. 25) - Strong Hit (2 damage)
Attacker rolls below defender (20 vs. 25) - Weak Hit (1 damage)
Attacker rolls double above defender (50 vs. 20) Critical Hit (3 damage)
Attacker rolls below half defender (10 vs. 25) Miss (no damage)

This should hopefully allow for even people who roll consistently poorly to contribute to the battle, while still remaining fair to all combatants. I will explain the system again as we get into the event.

Edit: Because I'm a noob. This event will start in Azshara Crater, and will be dealing with the Earthshakers, Leafwind Sentinels, and more.
Now this sounds stupendous!

I would love to attend this.
Awesome, would be great to attend this.
Squeeee! ^^ So excited.
I like the gaming system you've fathomed for this event.
So...what IS the event?
Hope to be able to participate in this event with whatever alibi one of my characters has.

It will start with the Leafwinds and Earthshakers detecting a spiritual/magical disturbance within the Crater. Adventurers will be hired to investigate.

There will be quite a bit of combat.
I love you guys for the new system. Now my bad rolls will be cleverly disguised as good rolls!
Soooooo gonna be snatching this system up if it works out well. (And of course give credit where credit's due) I will attend!
You know me.
