First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player.:
Well I'm 18, soon to be 19, currently unemployed (though I have a few job interviews coming soon!) and still living with parents and siblings for the moment. I have experience with a variety of different kinds of games, from RTS to MMOs.
I greatly enjoy roleplaying, and have been involved in RP in various forms for four years now. I started out pretty terribad, but I like to think I have improved vastly since then, and am now a competent roleplayer. Hopefully you'll agree with that!
What country do you come from? What is your primary language?
I come from the United Kingdom (more specifically England), and my primary (read: only) language is English.
How did you get into Warcraft?:
Well, I've been aware of Warcraft since I was very young, as a friend of mine played Blizzard RTS games a lot. I read through some Warcraft lore, but was a bit young and uninvolved to make sense of it at the time. I really got into it with the advent of Warcraft 3, which I played for several years after its release. Since then I've been hooked.
What made you seek our server over others? (or How did you find us?):
I found CotH by simply using good old Google. I have recently run out of subscription on retail WoW, and feel no real excitement about the game anymore. I had some great friends in retail, but retail RP servers are totally rubbish when it comes to immersion, you couldn't RP outside of Stormwind/Silvermoon unless you were with a guild, it was no fun.
What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
I suppose I am pretty flexible with what kinds of RP I enjoy. But it can depend greatly on mood, and what character I am playing. If I were playing a very battle-oriented character, like perhaps an orc warrior, I would certainly spend a lot more time on patrols and battling enemies. If I were to play a more calm character, like perhaps a human mage, though, I'd spend more time studying magic in various places about the world, and seeking battle only in more special circumstances.
What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
Tough question, really. I guess if I had to pick an absolute favourite race it would be Draenei, they are so wholly different to most other races except maybe for the fact that they are followers of the Light (is followers an applicable term here?).
I like the way draenei look, I like their aesthetic style, I like the lore behind them, and how that must have shaped their race as a whole. There's nothing I don't really like about the race, to be honest. Except for the fact that NOBODY on retail RP realms could play one properly.
What are your expectations of this server?:
I expect that the server will finally provide an immersive and quality roleplaying experience, given the thorough screening which players are subjected to. I expect that there will be players willing to engage in roleplay often, and not within closed groups as is the trend on retail realms due to high non-RPer population. I expect to have the game be a thoroughly more enjoyable experience with roleplayers from across the world, a high quality of communication and features useful to RP integrated into the realm.
Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
ALL of the Role-playing section of the rules. At long last actual rules preventing 'demons' parading around in cities killing people in plain sight of guards, along with the hordes of Thrall/Varian relatives, and so on. At long last rules enforcing Roleplay of quality, and holding players to actual standards!
Extremely refreshing after playing Retail for so long.

Xarr hefted his rune-etched axe and snarled. The rest of the squad likewise readied their weapons. There was Gratha, a Tauren woman, carrying her personal battle-totem like some huge club. Nahrik, a gangly troll carrying his usual throwing spears and his tomahawks, in case he ran out of spears. Along with them were Mukta, an orcish woman carrying the traditional grunt's battleaxe, and her cousin, Kagg, armed as she was. Despite the wide variety of weaponry, the entire group wore the leathers and spiked pauldrons of grunts - for such they were. Mere grunts, sent out on yet another centaur-culling.
The half-horse fiends had recently raided a supply caravan from Mulgore, killing all the Tauren escort, and their kodos. They then burned the wagons, cargo and all. They attacked out of spite, not a need for resources, and such hate would be repaid in kind.
Xarr considered the entire group his family, he had fought alongside them for years now, against all manner of foes from demons to Night Elves. They watched out for one-another, and each owed his life to the others many times over. Such were the bonds forged by battle.
They were overlooking the centaur camp the raiders had reportedly come from. Most of the cowards were resting or repairing their weapons, they were ripe for the reaping.
As senior grunt, Nahrik had the honor of ordering the attack. He looked around at his friends one last time, and in turn they nodded to him, signifying they were ready to attack.
The troll straightened, inhaled, and then roared in his heavily accented voice:
"Charge! Fo' da Horde!"
The entire group howled and thundered down the hillside, heavy boots and hooves trampling the yellowing grass beneath them as the Centaur milled about in confusion at the sudden appearance of their foes.
Nahrik entered the fray first, impaling a centaur woman on one of his spears and flinging her aside, drawing his tomahawks to decapitate another who was readying her bow to fire. Xarr, Gratha, Mukta and Kagg joined the fray a split second later, and the slaughter began. They tore the centaur apart, cleaving through meat and bone with axes, or crushing them with totem and hoof. Kagg rushed a spellweaver , foaming with bloodlust; totally oblivious to the Khan bearing down on him from the side.
The armoured leader whooped in triumph as he swung his sword down towards the orc before him, only to cry out in pain and shock as a spear lanced through his torso and hurled him to the ground through sheer force. Nahrik smirked and spun around to face a pair of net-swinging centaur grinning widely at him. They hurled their weighted nets with surprising accuracy, and Nahrik knew he would be captured. But suddenly Gratha's totem appeared in their path, deflecting the nets harmlessly. The centaur hunters backed away only to be decapitated in one swing by Mukta as she leapt through the air where they had been standing. The orc woman rolled to her feet and winked at the two before taking a spellcaster's lightning bolt in the shoulder. Her pauldron shattered in a blinding flash and she fell to the ground, stunned. The spellcaster cackled and began to chant another spell when her humanoid torso was seperated neatly from her lower equine one by a sweep of Xarr's blade.
Suddenly the sounds of battle raged no more, and the grunts looked around. All about them lay dead and dying centaur, not one still stood to face them.
"Burn it down." Nahrik growled, tying a Horde banner to the throwing spear still pinning the centaur Khan to the ground.
The group lit their torches and got to work...
Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
Is it possible here to roleplay as neutral races like Ogres through disguise items and such? It's a private server, so the possibility is there. Just wondering, don't mind if it isn't at all.
