To make a late response to the above, someone has already tried. They ended up with a crazy, unstable core. Facepalms were had.
That's just the beginning. You don't think somebody else will pick that up andm ake it better? And so on. Trust me. Just wait.
Oh by the way. There are highborne in every horde and every alliance major city. Just to letcha know. ^^ (odd ain't it!)
Hi, my name is Roxas Polaris and I approve of this idea.

  • Cairne is dead, by the hand of that Garrosh. And now the Grimtotems have made their move and stung us in the back. Are the orcs in our good favour now? I highly doubt it. Perhaps is other minor clans/tribes considering leaving the Horde? Or at least leave Mulgore and Thunderbluff.
SPOILER WARNING
Spoiler:
Actually, the Grimtotems have been poisioning Cairne for months and he the fight between Garrosh and Cairne caused him to succumb to death from the poison. Garrosh then attacks Thunder Bluff and exiles the Grimtotems, who happen to have shady deals with the Forsaken.
Man, well Jeff and I got this covered on the starting aggression between Horde and Alliance! :P

Spoiler of my own to clarify:
Spoiler:
Actually, Magatha poisons Garrosh's weapon, unbeknown to Garrosh himself. He believes it's only a simple 'blessing.' It is Baine Bloodhoof who gathers support and ousts the Grimtotem from the city. There is no mention of the Forsaken, other than a minor note of the Grimtotem going to attempt to make a deal with the ones in the Pools of Vision (I think that's what the location is called on the Spirit Rise) and then discovering the bridges are cut to the satellite rises during the attack.

This is from 'The Shattering' book.
Just baught it :D

Also, I agree. Want gnomes ousting from ironforge for RP :)

Aha! I guess what I read was wrong, it was on wowwiki that the drinks were poisioned, though looks like the novel changed that.
Spoiler:
Garrosh saw that not only had Magatha stolen his honorable kill but actually threw the Tauren race into danger until Baine Bloodhoof thanks to the help of Lady Jaina Proudmoore, Andurin Wrynn and the mace Fearbreaker (Given to Andurin by Magni Bronzebeard just before he turned to stone) reclaimed Thunder Bluff and banished Magatha and the remaining Grimtotem to Stonetalon Mountains where they will be killed by either wildlife or any passer-by who saw them.

Whats this about? How does Baine get the help of Andurin and Jaina?
Well, I'd like to claim that it is more fun to RP the normal orc and tauren without knowing about this poisoning. At least not to begin with.

Grimtotem are special, they are not part of the huge Tauren Coalition but their crone has been standing on Elder Rise for years, why?

That the black tauren would have dealings with Forsaken sounds really familiar, isn't there quests about it in Dustwallow?
There is. You kill an Apothecary, which is in the middle of a hostile Grimtotem camp, she drops something. Bla bla, experience, gold, woo leveling on retail!
This is what I gather from the Cairne death;

I do remember that the poisoning of Cairne's drinks is what made him weak, which is why he couldn't pwn Garrosh! Then the poisoned ax finished him, so it looked as if Garrosh killed him.
