I agree with Miah. It is likely that had Tavren been the one pwned and then acted like an ass, people would have scoffed at the idea of a ret-con. Why should we undo things because a bunch of people acted rather immaturely?

Pre-restart my charcter, Seu, was exiled permanently from Kalimdor and it was the end of his rp. Though I admit to OOC-ly requesting a GM that I be allowed to roll him again after a few months, I wasn't permitted to do so. I appreciate the decision that the GMs took then. Allowing my character in would have not only have spoiled the rp for the others who were involved in the incident but also would have been immersion breaking.

Not that I am asking for a tit-for-tat thing here but that people -should- know their actions will have consequences. In my opinion just going on about and just ignoring this particular incident will set a precedent, like I've said before.
I want to put it behind me because of the anarchic amounts of chaos involved in the deaths and dealing with them.

Who was dead? Who was staying dead?

How would anything possibly be enforced at this point, when we have no way of meaningfully getting a comprehensive understanding of things?

Irrelevant to the subject at hand, however, I will say that it'd be easier to keep the bad guys dead, what with how they only lost three people. About a dozen adventurers got involved and I'm told at least half met a grisly death. Yes, ill-advised actions should have consequences, yes I would ordinarily agree that the baddies who died because they brashly refused to run and the heroes who fell because their forty-man raid didn't go as planned should stay dead, but I'd much prefer to wash my hands of the headache.

I am at as much fault if not the most fault of everyone. I was the one who stepped up and decided to coordinate events and I did a pretty damn poor job.

The problem is the obscenely tangled web of miscommunication is not being smoothed without significant amounts of drama. Those who did not even witness the event or are apart of its aftermath, I would like to modestly if frenetically request you don't press us into a corner.

I don't speak for everyone, it is not my decision to make, but I posted after I thought I had the consensus of the majority. iHollow's post makes me feel dubious about that, but I'll address that later today when I get home.
I was originally intending on simply suspending all characters involved that died for the remaining... what would it be. Five days now? The remaining five days. However, I still am not clear exactly who all died. And now that Grak posted that news thread, I'm unsure if I should just leave this as the last warning people have about getting themselves into a bind.
I personally think people need to be responsible. If your character died, you know your character died, and that person needs to take responsibility for such an action. And I agree with Kret, I don't really know what happened, but whatever -did- happen, please do the right thing, guys! :D

Aphe no likey ooc dramaz.
Good to know this is going to be taken care of, and I completely agree with Aphetoros. [:
So...retconned or not?
