A letter with with wings seems to soar the sky, approaching you as if it already knew it's destination. As you open it, it reads.

Dear <Name.>,

As of now, I am taking over the position of Headmaster of Aula Arcanum. Barlton can't be trusted - He has, unfortunately, gone insane. Expect changes. Many. For now... stay clear of the school. It's not safe, at least. He set up wards, I'm sure. Caution is advised.

Uthaniel Runewalker.
(... Letters with... wings? What? How? Could you explain that?)

(Could you explain conjured food? It's magic.)
(Arcane energy transferred into an edible form.

Regardless. Letter with wings that immediately find who they are sent to. Is this Harry Potter?)

(Sure, why not? Arcane energy conjured into wings, attached to the letter and directed to a "signal" of sorts. Everyone has mana, and everyone is different.)
(The major difference there is that arcane energy conjured into wings has never happened before.

Otherwise I'd totally have Arianna flying about with wings on.)

(Lots of things on CotH have never happened before. I.E. windstones.)
((... Thanks folks. >_> ))
(Mhm.

If this is possible, why doesn't every mage just use this magical-person-seeking-letter-system?

In fact. Why don't we replace mailboxes with mages? You send a letter to a mage. You tell them who it's going to. They give it pretty little wings, maybe give it a magical fairy kiss, and then it flies to whoever it's supposed to. It's never tardy.

Communication issues cease to exist. Everyone on Azeroth is constantly in touch with one another.

Hundreds, possibly thousands of mailmen lose their jobs.

If this could happen in Warcraft, I'm sure it would have been implemented already.)

(Awesome. We RP mail as instant anyway. Fel, the mailboxes in Dalaran have portals. I think this'd be better PMed to Uthaniel or Pletious.)
(... You guys RP mail as instant?)

(Never gotten a clear answer on how mail works in Azeroth, or who delivers it. So, I went with it. Anyway, end of spam...now.)
(This is not spam. This is discussion of how the lore of Warcraft is being handled. It's rather important.

Still. Perhaps we should start a new topic in General about these letters with wings?)

(Three instances in which it has happened, actually, sadly only two are usable for flight.

One. Avenging Wrath creates literal wings of Holy Energy. You can't fly with them, but fel, they're pretty.

Two. Fel-Sworn mutate wings due to exposure to Fel.

Three. Dragonsworn can conjure a set of wings to fly with, the colour of their dedicated Aspect.

Moreover, Magi can Slow Fall, Levitate and even Fly IC. They can sure enchant a letter to fly to its destination. Or they can teleport it.)
(( Topic locked.

An IC thread is not the place to bicker about lore. ))
