First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player.:
The name's L-P. I'm 17 years old and a fan of Roleplaying in general. May it be over Neverwinter Nights 2, World of Warcraft or through LARPs (Live Action Role Playing, called Nature Size Dungeon & Dragon in my country). I enjoy playing roles of multiple styles and to have a good feeling about being immersed totally into a game's world. I'm on my last year before Pre-Universitary-school (which's called CEGEP in Quebec/Canada). I'd like to study Acting or English Teaching and make a living out of it
What country do you come from? What is your primary language?
I'm from Canada, and more precisely from the province of Quebec. My main language is (obviously) French, but I'm very capable of developing my ideas and to explain what I want to explain in English. I've been doing much of this on a NwN2 server called World of Charun (Hardcore RP server) and I'd say that I've gained enough experience to turn it onto WoW now.
How did you get into Warcraft?:
I first used to play Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos + Expansion Frozen Throne. I started playing online right after finishing the game, and I used to get into a lot of RPGs or "control your hero into a custom world" games. I had heard about WoW, but wasn't much interested into paying the 15$ a month because I was a kid back at this time: no way my parents would have accepted to finance me anyway on such an activity! :P So I kept playing for a while and heard of Private Servers. I started on a regular WoW Private Server, and, concluding a year of gameplay, I decided to switch for a RP PVP server to try it out. I've been on 2 french servers (WoW LMI and WoWQuebec) but the gaming time between French players and Quebec players is literally split by 6 hours of difference, which meant every time I logged in, these guys were going to bed. That kinda annoyed me, so I looked on Google for a Private RP server of WoW and found this one! x)
What made you seek our server over others? (or How did you find us?):
As I said, I was looking on Google for a Private RP server of WoW and I fell on this one!
What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
I like to play the dangerous kind of RP. I like to be part of the main action as an evil guy. I want to be sure to have an impact on the storyline, and to let others know that I was there. I hate to just look at stuff happening and having to take them in consideration without having a word to say. If I can be the fugitive warlock hiding in a cave next to Stormwind, or the scary Death Knight riding a bone dragon and spreading waves of fear while flying over an elven outpost, chased by Holy Paladins of God, then so be it! That's just awesome. And if one of my character gets to be perma-killed for any reasons, I'd expect (or more like 'I'd hope') that all the happenings/game experience around that death would be fun and enjoyable for everyone.
What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
I played a lot of Badass Paladins back on my 2 RP servers. I love to play the straight, nearly-evil-looking inquisitor that accuses everything of being possessed by a demon. Like some sort of guard dog, or some sort of police-guy. I like to be part of an organisation of Paladins which goes against a greater foes in order to preserve the light from the shadows. I must say that I'd like to get a character to transforming into a Death Knight, at some point. I have never tried the class, but I must say the Roleplay behind it looks so AWESOME that I'll HAVE to try it at some point. I do not bother for races. I prefer the Blood Elves and the Undeads because of their particular story and style of RP, but I would not bother playing a gnome, a human, an elf or an orc (or whatever else). I've a bit of problems with Taurens because they tend to being sage and a bit more sticked into the idea of supporting wisdom. I like to hit when I want to hit, to eat flesh when I want to eat flesh or to behead a draenei when I feel like it. I think that Taurens are not totally fond of this way of being. They would not mindlessly murder an elven baby (night elf), in my opinion, in which case an orc'ld sure crush the little one's skull.
What are your expectations of this server?:
Roleplay? Immersion? I don't want to see OOC speaking in the middle of a town. I want to feel like I'm part of the world, and that everybody is "conspiring" in order to allow me to enjoy the experience, as I'd be "conspiring" in order to make their fun as great as mine. Excluding that, I do not have much expectations for the server. Regular DM presence, maybe...? It's always awesome to have some people to listen to you when you'd like to do something that requires DM administration or help (Events, group mini-quests, RP interaction, etc...)
Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
I can't say that I understand the question totally, but if by "appeals to me" you mean "seems the most important rule", I'd say the one about the "Don't make characters that are more powerful than others'". I've seen so many beginners in RP claiming that their guy is the ancient son of a king, that he was forgotten next to a river one day, that wolves found him and raised him until some Orc Clan decided to teach him the art of War after hunting the wolf pack and discovering the human kid. That's just lame, and game breaking. I've a few problems with people going "out of realism". I don't see why they dislike playing a "regular"/"normal" character, such as a soldier, a blacksmith or a town's mage. Odd fellers, I say. <.<
Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
A black sun woke up this morning over that Guard Patrol wearing blue-crossed tabars.
The meal was ready. It had been freshly prepared about an hour ago, but I was still dreaming. Dreaming about that moment, when he bit me. When he squeezed my leg under these massive ranks of teeth. When my blood spilled over him, even though that same liquid was already filled into these two evil, nasty eyes.
Black out.
Flashes of memory. Images, lining up in front of my eyes. The corpses... The shields... The blades... The stench... Death. Perfectly chaotic. Anarchy's concentrated essence, injected straight toward the battlefield. My hands... covered in blood. Again, and again, and again... It won't go, even when I sink them in the river. I am covered in red, whatever happens... I run once more, but then...
Black out once more.
My eyes open. Slowly. Someone is trying to make me blind. No. Wait. The sun. I can't hold it anymore, so I hide from him under my bloodied skin. Am I sleeping...? Is this a nightmare? Am I going to die? What is this foul, disgusting smell? Why must I be chased again by blood?
I try to stand up. Impossible. The soiled earth has drank the life of thirty four warriors, today. It has gone corrupted, and seeks to taste me too. It holds me against my will. I cannot lift my body away from this demon.
Black out.
I finally wake up again. I remember now.
The caravan. The escort. The wolf pack. Their leader's bite. Its blood injected eyes. My dagger. Its head. Crawling away, alone. That same caravan burnt 3 days later, farther on the road. My brothers and friends' corpses on the ground. The bandits' trail. The light of dawn. My everlasting strength to live. The final breath. The final moan. The final shadow, heading toward me. A barely-existing sign, probably the fruit of my imagination. A blue shape... blue crosses.
