Conquest of the Horde

Penumbra is a guild dedicated to the advancement of knowledge, and independent, sometimes questionable research. It is by no means restricted to those who use magic, but magic users will find themselves most comfortable here. The society's projects will take them to many places, and lead them to commit actions that some would frown upon, but in order to advance knowledge, sometimes certain conventions must be broken.

Whispers of the new society are beginning to spread their way through the Catacombs, and those who would find themselves interested need only track down Therai Nightglade and express their will to join before they will be judged. Those who are deemed worthy will be welcomed under the shadowy wing of Penumbra. The society will be involved in the politics of the Catacombs, to be sure. There are events at work there that are too great to be overlooked. However, while some of the main labs may end up being located there, Penumbra's reach will be long, and its influence will ultimately be felt almost anywhere.

Those who don't practice magic aren't necessarily without a place in Penumbra. The society will undoubtedly find themselves in need of a strong arm, and magical aptitude is by no means a prerequisite for one who wishes to further their knowledge. Even a simple warrior is capable of questioning the way the world works, and the Shadow would welcome them all the same.

Penumbra is an evil guild, but it is not a guild dedicated to causing evil. On the contrary, those in Penumbra feel that they are doing what is right. After all, the knowledge they seek is useful, and nothing can stand in the way of learning. Not even the lives of others.

The Shadow beckons.

On Sunday, February 13th, Penumbra will be having a guild meeting. We will be meeting in the Catacombs, in the Heretic Circus's old room, with the shadow ritual circle on the ground in front of it.

Be prepared to share ideas on what kind of future projects you would like to see happen in Penumbra.

The meeting will be at 3:00, server time, unless complications arise.

On Saturday, March 12th, at 3:00 PM server time, Penumbra will be having another meeting. It will be in the same location as the previous room. The main topic of the meeting will be expansion, such as new meeting places. If there are any other thoughts that members would like to share, then please feel free to do so. Attendance is not mandatory, but you are expected to be present.
