First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player.:
I'm a sixteen-year-old male who has been roleplaying through many different mediums since the age of ten. At the moment, I am part of a high-quality PbP RPG, and have played World of Warcraft before in the years 2008 and 2009. Now returning, I'm not keen to pay the fee to roleplay in a Warcraft environment so decided to seek out a server like this one.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?
I'm living in Australia, and use British-English as my main language. I do not know any others, as much as I'd love to learn German.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
I've played Warcraft 3 since I was ten, and that was actually my introduction to roleplaying, differing from games focused on Warcraft law, and games which would allow players to create their own themes or roleplaying elements to partake in.

What made you seek our server over others? (or How did you find us?):
This site has popped up at the top of every search I've performed, and is apparently highly hailed, so I'm giving it a try.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
It depends on the medium. In text-based/PbP environments, I like fast-paced action roleplay with plenty of characters involved and a lot of conflict between them.

In World of Warcraft roleplay, I enjoy more slow-paced tavern/easy conversation roleplay.

In regards to both, anything with a lot of emotional action or retaliation to what another character says or does makes a roleplay enjoyable and exciting for me.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
I couldn't say that I have a favourite race in particular, but I've always been partial towards Night Elves. This may be because of their sense of mysteriousness, I'm not quite sure.

In terms of favourite class, I've always been one for Warriors. Hack-and-slash and all that.

What are your expectations of this server?:
To be able to roleplay with players at many different levels of experience; those below, equal to, and above my own in terms of character believability and literary ability.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
'Keyboard skills'. Above all else, I enjoy roleplaying with people who can tell a good story with style, and at the very least, a decent degree of skill.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
The following is an excerpt from a PbP roleplay I submitted only a fortnight or so ago...

Private Greg Holdan stood at the base of the northern-most point of the crater's sheer rock wall, facing inwards at the events taking place at the crater's centre. Eleven minutes ago, the scientists he and his team had been assigned to escort had activated the large machine in front of the two LOA craft, and had been closely monitoring the equipment assembled all around it since then, with their lead, Steiner, feverishly hunching over the panel on the machine's frame.
As of yet, the machine had continue to hum as its drill descended deeper into the planet's crust, not yet having found a deposit of the mineral they were supposedly here to gather.
Holdan wore an abnormally crisp and tidied EPSF uniform, his rifle pressed against his abdomen and his right index finger extended along the length of the trigger guard like he had been trained to do. After all, demonstrating good discipline and honourable presentation was an important step in rising through the ranks of the Earthen Military's EPSF corp., and he was quite excited to have been given the opportunity.

It was while these very thoughts ran through his mind that a scaled tendril lowered down from the top of the crater's sheer wall, from which Holdan was standing only metres away, and suspended its end right above his head, the two long, needle-like spines at its tip pointed at the base of the unsuspecting human's neck, where it met the top of the spine.
Seconds dragged by and still Holdan stood still, his attention focused on the drill in the centre of the crater and the feverish activity of the scientists around it.
Then, a shuffle of movement behind Holdan caused him to freeze, beginning to turn before, snap! The pair of spines pierced through skin and muscle before crashing straight through the bone at the base of the defenceless man's neck, where they remained while the rest of the tail dropped in front of Holdan's neck, constricting it for only a matter of seconds before it snapped completely.

Of all the commandos patrolling other points of the crater's wall nearby where Holdan had stood moments before, and of the scientists who had been in plain sight at the crater's centre, no one saw or heard the innocent soldier's violent demise, nor the sight of his corpse being lifted out of the crater, and into the darkness above by its unknown assailant.

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
The PbP RPG I am currently a part of is called Live Dragonball Z, and is an in-depth, forum-based RPG which has been running for many years. I love every second of my time there, and recommend anybody who enjoys that kind of roleplaying medium to take a peek, maybe even think about joining. Especially if you're a DBZ fanatic like myself.
Hello Phaen! I'm Loxmardin and it's my pleasure to welcome you to Conquest of the Horde!

If you haven't already, I'd suggest that you double-check the rules and policies of the server on our very own CotH Wiki. If you have any questions, you should consult the Wiki and the available subforums which contain a fair bit of information ("Forum: Search" is your friend!) first but you are of course always welcome to contact a GM if you can't find what you're looking for, or ask on the forums!

Have fun, enjoy your stay and see you in-game!

Happy RPing!
