How would a Tauren Shaman achieve to be a Runemaster, would it be some type of curiousity for arcane after realizing from study what the markings of the world actually meant? Or somthing more redundent like the shaman running into a Runemaster and just being taught?

Along side that, would it be possible to be a Spirit Champion and a Runemaster? Just my curiousty going out to Coth's ideals ^^. Thanks guys!

1st: It may be possible to have runes draw off nature's strength.

2nd: Yea, probably redundant.

3rd: Nope, multiclassing.

Ya beat me to it Danal.

Except... The runes are Arcane. I do not believe they could draw off of the elements that a shaman uses.
They could pull the power from the spirit world, or maybe Emerald Dream if they're a Druid. Not sure, but it could be possible.
Muhaha8~ The Rune itself would be kinda like how an Elementalist uses arcane, it would force the element to work with the runemaster and not actually the other way around. Kinda like having a perma ball and chain with the element you decide to inscribe yourself with im guessing. (Thats all information ive gotten from runes and runemasters with waht elementalists do as well, so if any of that is off, theres your reason ^^)
I guess it's possible. But highly unlikely. The runes, in nature, draw their energy from lay lines; pure arcane. To activate it with either Elemental or spiritual power would require modification of the rune, if it is possible. And it likely could backfire and kill you. I hate to be the nay sayer, but it's best to stick with Arcane, in my opinion.
Someone has to be risky and try it ~_^
I guess. Don't forget that it's a prestige, of course. But I'd get that approved by a GM before you even attempted doing it. I don't even know if it's feasably possible to modify the rune to the proper extent and have it even function.
Not necessarily.
I remember that runemasters learn natural patterns that already exist in the natural azerothian world.

The runes that a Runemaster uses are powered, in nature, by ley lines, powerful Arcane magic. In fact, all of their runes come from the world around them. If one exists that isn't ley-powered, please show me it! I'd be very intrigued.
No, they are ley-powered. But Ley is natural arcane.
I think the point was whether or not they could be powered with Elemental magic, or using the spirits or whatnot. And natural or not, it's still Arcane.
Ley is life energy, not arcane, sillies.
... Well, in essence, Arcane energies are energy from the Ley Lines. Only, it's been slightly "corrupted", if that makes sense. The energy in the Ley Lines is pure, whereas the Arcane energies are developed forms of this energy. The "less pure" version.

I think that a tauren becoming a runemaster is more likely to start out as a loremaster or something less "deep and anvanced" as a shaman. Their so different carrers.
