UPDATE: Event 8, 'Seaway' will be taking place on Tuesday, April 19th, at 4:00 server time. This is an Alliance event.

Event synopsis in the spoiler:
Spoiler:
After continued attacks on the Horde supply lines running through the Barrens, the Horde have begun to incorporate zeppelins for their transportation of goods. Of particular note is the direct route of zeppelins coming from Northrend to Stonetalon with cargos of cobalt and other materials for war use.

Night Elven troops have studied these new trading patterns, and have begun a blockade between Northrend and the waters of Azshara, seeking to deprive the Horde of both soldiers and resources from the frozen North.
UPDATE: Event 9, 'Loss of Momentum' will be taking place on Thursday, April 21st, at 4:00 PM server time.

Synopsis below:
Spoiler:
As supplies and troops to the Stonetalon war effort slow to a trickle, things are beginning to turn against the Horde's favor. Their offensive front line has become a desperate defense, as they attempt to stave off oncoming Elven attacks throughout the day.
An update: It is likely that event 10 will be taking place on Friday the 22nd- I'll post the contents of such once the event tonight has finished up.

However, the real reason for this post is to fill everyone in on some major changes to the event chain- In brief, it will be becoming shorter than was intended, and the factions already in place will be the only ones to take part in the battle. As my request for feedback on the events has received neither positive or negative responses I am interpreting that as indifference, and while I by no means plan to impact the flow of the events I'm coming to a point where I'll need to decide if I plan to take the long or short path through this event line, and I see no reason to elongate the process without good support to do so.

(Because It's better to understay your welcome than to overstay, hm?)

But yar. Don't be surprised that the other factions aren't making an appearance. :B
UPDATE: Event 10, 'Flanker' will be commencing on Friday the 22nd at 4:00 PM server time.

Synopsis Below:
Spoiler:
As the Stonetalon Sentinels push back against the Horde, Warden Hythal Shadowglen seeks complete assurance of victory.

Bolstered by new vigor from the victories at Malaka'jin, Shadowglen has led a group of soldiers behind enemy lines to a so far undiscovered outpost, seeking to put the pressure down on the Horde.

UPDATE: Event 11, 'Aegis' will commence on Saturday the 23rd at 4:00 Server Time! This event is Horde only.

Synopsis Below:
Spoiler:
Flanked on both sides by the Alliance, Warlord Garin Elfcleaver is mounting an unexpected push up the mountainside! Bombarded by Ancients and Glaives, a team of heavy-duty [yet unarmed] Siege Tanks are accompanying the soldiers up the mountain, acting as moving shields.
A quick update: I will be moving Event 11 to Monday. Apologies for all who were planning on attending! I hope to see you on Monday.
I don't know what the server thinks about this, but in my other RP server, there was lots of PvP roleplay going on. May I suggest a Horde vs Alliance event to shake things up?
Original Post Wrote:This event chain will be a series of PvE events centered around a campaign for war in the contested region of the Stonetalon Mountains

PvP would cause Drama, probably.
Of course, that's the downside, but if planned correctly, it can be lots of fun, more fun than PvE RP. Still, just a suggestion from my part.
While I considered a PvP event as a finale, in the end I would rather not bog down an event in troubles on who's character is getting hurt/killed by another. I've seen PvP events set up with order in mind, and usually there's some OOC snag or another- I'd just rather not mess with it, heh.
UPDATE: Tuesday, 4/26/11, will host event 12: Airlift, and Alliance event.

Synopsis Below:
Spoiler:
Faced with surrounding Horde forces on all sides, the Night Elven force inhabiting the Hellforged Base Camp has been forced to retreat via Hippogryph. Commander Therandes leads the exodus back to the new post in the Windshear Crag.

Also, tentatively setting future events on the calendar, visible from the front page. These events may be subject to change.
UPDATE: The Battle for Stonetalon event 12: Airlift, has been rescheduled due to lack of attendance. It will be set to Thursday, 4/28/11.

Should this one fall through the event will be resolved to an alternative ending, and the Horde event will be placed up next.
UPDATE: Event 13, Extraction (Horde) will commence on Friday, 4/29/11 at 4:00 PM Server Time.

Synopsis below.
Spoiler:
Horde scouts have confirmed the location of the captured Commander Orzooth, of the Hellforged Honorguard. Spearheaded by Garin Elfcleaver, an offensive is launched to reclaim the Commander from the hands of the Stonetalon Sentinels in the outpost at the Talondeep Path- Recently strengthened with reinforcements, it seems.
UPDATE: Event 14, Perdition (Alliance) will start on Saturday, 4/30/11 at 4:00 Server Time.

Synopsis Below:
Spoiler:
The orcs are pushing forth once more. With Captain Therandes missing and the Horde cutting off the route towards the Stonetalon Sentinels' base camp, Warden Hythal Shadowglen has taken command of all operations for the defensive force on the mountain.
UPDATE: Event 15, Emancipation, will take place on Sunday, May 1st. [Horde Event]

Synopsis Below:
Spoiler:
Despite a valiant defense on the part of the Night Elven force and the loss of Commander Orzooth Ironclaw, the Hellforged Honorguard marches on. Strengthened by support from Orgrimmar they make their way to the site of the siege of Sunrock Retreat. Here they begin the battle to relieve the besieged village, after a long month of isolation and oppression in the mountains.
