Just noting that they do work properly, but any portals that were in existence prior to the patch enabling them will have to be recreated, as they will all lead to the same location in the nether. I already reset the nether world so that the portal in the regular world by the spawn point will be the 'default' one.
I know there's a portal in CreeperTown and likely portals elsewhere; destroy and recreate them, it will properly create a portal in the nether.
