I don't have any of my RPG books handy but off the top of my noggin, I can remember some stupidly powerful runes. Perhaps some of the runes I'm thinking of are in different books. I'll have to get back to you on that one, Grak.

-- Edit --

Quote:We will, obviously, be defining runemaster abilities and removing what we feel is too excessive. The idea is the spirit of the class (bare-fist fighter that augments himself and others with runic magic) rather than the specifics that the d20 provides.

Taking this into account, I suppose it's a good idea. I've always wanted to play a character some-what like a monk. Unfortunately there'll probably be an influx of both classes but's a given.
Excellent, Gregori will begin making an Abomination the moment this happens...
Wondering, so Necromancers/Graven Ones still lose their past skill-sets/spells, correct?

... This is mildly interesting. Perhaps now is the time to open up a School of Necromancy I have always wanted to...
Oh. My. God.

Having the chance to play a Graven One...

100% yes from me.
I... have to say that I agree wholeheartedly with this.

Also, wouldn't it be possible to resubmit edited previously approved profiles of old chars to Runemaster or Necromancer-ing, for re-approval with the changes done? In the appropriate forum, of course.
Grakor, you may also wish to include a variant for the Lone-Wolf Runemaster for those of us that wish to be somewhat monkish or Chuck Norrisy. Just a suggestion :)
We're already allowed to play variants of core classes, and since Runemaster would be considered a core class it's more than likely playable.

Correct. The main purpose of this is so that players would be able to just up and create a necromancer initially, while still giving the possibility of going further on that path with the prestige system when it comes out.

I don't see the need to make any special mention for this, any more than I would for melee hunters or battle shaman. If you want to be a runemaster that keeps his runic powers to himself, then play him as such.
Ok..I've read this, and I have just one question...:
When can I start Runemaster training/stuff for Grok'Thaz? I understand I'll need to resubmit his profile, as he is already approved, but I just want to know what I'll need to add. :D
So where would inscribers go to? Or would people who are already inscribers just stay inscribers and there will be no future new ones? As I've an inscriber character.
If there's demand, we can do something with Inscribers. I tend to think they're somewhat redundant between runemasters, and mages with the scribe profession.
Why not have Inscribers as a ranged version of Runemasters? Or a variation of Mages?
I personally believe that inscribers due to in game representation are not really important enough to warrant much. Just make a note on them being a variant of playing a mage.

"Runemage" - Dwarven Inscriber anyone?
Etc. Etc.

Just make a note that it is a variant of mage.
Runesmiths. <3
Sounds great! Specially the talents.
