This.

Also, we have half a dozen prestiges left to do.
Can we just make inscribers a variant of mage?

If you retire one prestige, can you bring it back by retiring another in its stead?

Can Dark Apothecary be added?
/nod. GET TO IT, SLA- I mean... O' wondrous GM team.
Is there a prestige for a heavy armored and shield type of tank? Taunting and shield-bashing is way to glory? Bonecrusher is CRUSH and Gladiator is more of a general combat boost, imo.

Will the prestige system include social titles such as advisors, translators, mediators, psychologists, bar-owners, house-builders, stable-keepers, and other non-combat roles? Things that command more respect that your average Joe.

To answer your questions in order as they appear:

Read this.

Yes.

You may if you make it a Custom Prestige.
Will there be a template to become a prestige like there used to be last year, or a less formal notification system with GM approval akin to the second tier prestiges of the last system?

There will be a template.
Perfect :D

I liked that system much more myself.
What's the status of Death Knights relative to Prestige Classes? Are they considered a "base" class that can still take a Prestige, or are they disallowed from any (appropriate or otherwise. I'm not saying "LOL DK VINDICATOR GO!" More like a DK becoming a Graven One or something along those lines.) and all Prestige options?
Well, Malth went for a custom Prestige, but none of the traditional Prestiges go for Death Knight because Death Knights weren't playable when Prestiges were made, if I remember correctly.
Malth's custom Prestige was for Blood-specced Death Knights.
... Maybe we could potentially end up writing a prestige for Death Knights.

Grand Champion or something. Need to look up my ranks.

Still. The best suggestion is that you end up writing a custom prestige for your Death Knight.
DKs can go Fel-Sworn and Dragonsworn.

Before, they could also go Steamwarrior.

Anyhow, I do think I might also try coming up with something in that regard when the System opens. There are very interesting facets of Death Knighthood that could do with more... exploration.
