First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:
It's always tough answering that type of question, but I guess I will give it my best shot. I am a WoW player for three and a half years now. I've been rping ever since a friend of mine recommended a private server to me about 2 years ago. At the time I had no idea what rping even was. After that retail just lost its appeal to me. I tried in vain to keep playing retail, but it just got boring. I felt like I was grinding and leveling for nothing because it wasn't fun for me anymore. Rping is where my heart lies now.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:
I come from America (Though I wish I could say somewhere else). My primary language is English and I know a little Latin.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
I got into warcraft around 3 and a half years ago. I saw a lot of commercials about the new BC expansion and thought, "Oh, that looks awesome!" So that year for Christmas I asked my parents for a laptop and my grandma for WoW, all two expansions. I've been playing on and off ever since.

What made you seek our server over others? (Or how did you find us?):
Honestly, I googled. I had been looking for a new private server that was dedicated to rping for a while, and after thirty minutes of looking, I found you guys.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
I pretty much like any kind of roleplay (except ERP).

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
For the Forsaken! Forsaken is by far my favorite race. It's the only race I could ever get past level twenty on retail. My favorite class would have to be mages and warlocks. I cannot play any kind of melee class. It's just not possible for me.

What are your expectations of this server?:
I expect an amazing community with a diverse population. I expect players to be respectful and to be an experienced rper (No godmodding etc.). Lastly, I expect to have a good time.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
I like all of the rules. I would be hard pressed to find the one I like the BEST, but if I had to choose just one, it would probably be Respect. I hate rping with someone who has total disregaurd for anyone else.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
Okay, I'd just like to say (before I start it) that I enjoy writing long stories, but sadly, my laptop was stolen (so I can't pick my favorite one). So, I have a story I haven't finished yet on this computer. It's not a WoW story, but if any of you are familar with the anime Death Note you will notice the refference to it.

Aaron Abourn was a new and upcoming detective in the Boston Massachusetts police department. He had been recently promoted after only serving less than ten months on the streets. He was on his way to a new murder at one of the top of the line hotels in Boston. Aaron never liked being told any information before going to the crime scene.

He would always tell people, “I like to get first impressions by my own eyes before I hear anything from someone. That way I have nothing to expect, and therefore everything is to be expected.”

That always seemed a little odd to people, but they never really questioned it. After all, the guy was pretty weird already. When he finally got to the crime scene he was greeted by many news reporters and cameras in his face. He didn’t say anything to them and walked straight into the hotel past the officers guarding the entrance.

The hotel was very nice on the inside. It was bright with a big chandelier in the center. It was your typical high class fancy hotel. Aaron quickly made his way up the stairs and down the hall to the crime scene. He was greeted by his boss.

“Hi Aaron.” He shook his head and sighed. “This is going to be a weird one.”

“Why?” Aaron asked with curiosity and a little bit of shock.

“Take a look for yourself.”

Aaron walked into the hotel room to find an old man, maybe in his late sixties, slashed and cut up on the floor. The room was covered in blood splatter, and Aaron thought the criminal must have been covered in blood. Unlike many detectives Aaron never got shocked or disgusted with crime scenes, he always managed to keep calm. After a couple minutes of taking in the scenery, Aaron walked out to talk to his boss some more.

“It sure is bloody in there,” Aaron said with a mellow tone voice as his boss started to light a cigarette.

“That’s an understatement,” he exclaimed as he took a puff of his cigarette.

“Nothing is really unusual about it though. Why did you say it was going to be weird?”

“Because of the kid.”

“Kid?”

“Yeah, some twenty or so guy is being rushed to the hospital. Apparently he was found unconscious at the scene.”

“Oh, we better go question him.”

“Yeah, but that isn’t what is weird about it.”

“Oh?”

“Yeah, apparently from the 911 call this kid is L.”

“L?” Aaron had no idea what this letter meant, but to everyone else it meant total disaster. Aaron had only been on the force less than a year, so it’s only natural he wouldn’t know right away who L is.

“L is the world’s greatest detective, no one has seen his face or even spoke to him without it being through a computer or phone. He solves every case he has ever gotten, and he only takes the hard ones.”

“That’s amazing!” Aaron said, not really believing his boss. “But who is the old guy?”

“Don’t call him an old guy! He is Wateri, the only man who can speak to L directly. No one has seen his face either, well until today.”

“Oh, I’m sorry sir.”

“That’s okay,” Aaron’s boss sighed and continued talking. “What are we going to do about this? L has many enemies, but to only kill Wateri?”

“It makes no sense sir. Perhaps the murderer was just trying to get to L? But who would do that? It would take a very twisted person to do that.”

“Yeah, guess you’re going to have to talk to L about that one.”

“Yeah.” Without another word Aaron left to talk to the infamous L, if it really was him that is.

Aaron arrived at the hospital shortly after leaving the hotel. The hospital didn’t have any media yet, he guessed his boss was trying to keep which hospital L was at a secret. He was greeted by a nurse who escorted him to L’s room. L was still unconscious so Aaron sat outside and waited. He noticed that the staff hadn’t been informed of the man being L as well, the name on the clipboard had been John Doe. The man in the bed was wearing a white long sleeved shirt with jeans which where stained with blood splatter. His black hair almost looked red from all the blood.

Just after midnight L awoke. “Where is Wateri? What am I doing in a hospital?” L yelled.

Aaron went into his room to try and calm him down. “L I think it is? Please calm down, everything is fine,” Aaron said as he closed the door and shut the blinds.

“Where is Wateri? What happened?” L asked with what almost seemed like a hint of fear in his voice.

“I’m sorry to tell you, but Wateri is dead.”

“I need to make a phone call.” L said trying to get up off the bed.

“Not right now, later. First, I would like to ask a few questions.”

“Fine, but afterwards I want my phone call.”

“Of course, of course.” Aaron had been through many interrogations before, but never with someone of L’s standing. “Well, first things first. Who are you?”

“I’m L, you already addressed me as L, so why ask?”

“I know you’re L, but what I meant was, do you have any way of verifying that?”

“If you would let me have my phone call I could.”

“We can save that for later. What happened?”

“I don’t know. I heard a noise, then I turned around and I fell unconscious. I don’t know what happened after that until I woke up in here.”

“Okay, one last question before your phone call. Do you know of anyone who would want to kill Wateri and not yourself?”

“B.”

“Who?”

“I just know him as B.”

“Um, okay. The phone is right there beside your bed.”

“Thanks.” L started for the phone and picked it up. “Do you mind?”

“Oh sorry, I’ll leave.” Aaron got up and left the room.

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
I'd just like to say that I'm a more dialogue orientated writer and rper. Of course that doesn't mean I won't do actions and emotes, it just means a lot of times I will write a huge long paragraph when rping.
Hello there Darklings, and welcome to CotH.

If you haven't done so yet, it's worth glancing over our Wiki to take a look at the rules, see our guidelines for making a character and perhaps even look over a few approved profiles while you're there. I waste far too much time reading as it is, and I still like to browse it every once in a while.

Thank you for the story.

I hope you enjoy your time here. Do feel free to PM me if you have any further queries. I'll try and answer to the best of my ability.
