Conquest of the Horde

As some of you may have noticed, seeing as I posted a thread a bit earlier, I said I was going to be in England for a while, and I wouldn't be on due to this.

I have decided to prolong this absence to "indefinitely." I have my reasons for doing so. I don't know if I'm going to come back. I've posted threads like this before, but my reasons for leaving this time are a bit different.

I've found that the server is continually drifting away from what I enjoy in RP, not just in WoW, but concerning RP in general. The lack of flexibility in terms of characters, the world, and quite a few other things beside have continually been wearing on me, and I've found that the RP that I participate in here has been less than enjoyable, and more like a chore. I'm sure this echoes what a lot of people have already said.

I enjoyed this server much more when the actions of our characters could shape the world they lived in, instead of storylines being more or less arbitrarily decided by GMs. I enjoyed this server much more when prestiges were rare, when there wasn't all this drama surrounding it and everyone had at least one, if not two or more (and yes, I know I'm somewhat guilty of this too). I enjoyed this server much more when it felt like home. Now it just feels cold and hostile.

This is a different CotH from the CotH I joined, and so I feel I must take my leave, however long it may be. I can't guarantee I'll be back, but I can't guarantee I'll never return, either. I might lurk on the forums and occasionally ingame, but to be perfectly frank, if I'm not enjoying myself, then I'm not going to continue to play here. This is a game, after all. Games are meant for fun, not frustration.

Even though I drifted away from RP with you, and eventually the server in general, those far-away early days of RP as Arazol alongside Tarania were some of the most fun I've had on any character. I wish you the best for the future. Elune light your path.

I'm not really on here anymore due to alot of the reasons you listed. However, it is still sad to see such a veteran go.
