If we're doing stuff for Cataclysm Events, does this mean that Hyjal will finally be open for RP?

I suppose this also means my event will have to be postponed to a few weeks after restart saying everyone will be running around getting all their stuff back for a bit. So... thanks for the update ahead of time.

No Cata yet.
And I believe we talked about that previously. No Human-Worgen changes, nor Human-Forsaken.

Question! I don't fully understand why we are wiping the server. Are we switching to a new core (again) that is stable with cataclysm?
Also I don't understand what swapping Lore means.. Does this mean we will ICly be in the time of Cataclysm but the world isn't changing until we can find a stable repack? (And if this is the case, why do we have to have a character wipe? o.o)

Again, we aren't switching to Cataclysm. The restart's being done to fix up some lore, and to get rid of places that are no longer being used, as well as retcons. And the GM team is planning on doing events to lead up to Cataclysm.

Never thought I'd go through a second wipe that soon, but hey. It's going to work out all fine and dandy in the end I suppose. I think of all my toons I'll be solely bringing Kyl back, in a new form. Oh the ideas, it makes me feel tingly inside.

On that note ; Purge the forums! Mwahaha.. Then I'll actually be motivated to re-edit my guide so it looks nice and neat again.

This just seems... Unwarranted. The previous restarts have been for important things like upgrading to WotLK and switching to a new core, but this is just a restart for the sake of having a restart. There's really no point.

I'm not against it, I just don't understand why we're bothering to wipe before Cata. It just seems like a pain in the arse and lots of unnecessary work for no actual purpose.

We needed a restart at some point, in order to push forth some of the lore corrections/changes that we want, as well as to fix things on the server.

While I would prefer to wait until Cataclysm, we don't have any power over when that will be possible, so I see no reason to hold our breath for something that may still be many months away.

So, I wasn't sure if I saw this mentioned but what happens to current prestiges if the old system is being wiped? Do we have to represtige if the variant system is going to remain?

Also, secretly posting instead of doing homework, anyways! If we restart now does that mean we won't have to when Cataclysm hits CotH?
