It seems that on one microphone, my voice is alright, though I haven't confirmed this yet. EDIT: Just tested in a video, and yup, it goes over the game just fine.

On this new one I bought though, a nice 80$ Razer, it seems my voice is incredibly soft. I tried recording Starcraft 2 (That I just bought) and although I cranked the volume way down on the game, it still seems to overpower my voice in fraps.

Is there any way to increase the oomph from my voice besides yelling at my mic? Or is it something I have to deal with?

Go to your Control Panel. Click Hardware and Sound. Then Sound. Then click on the Recording tab. Click properties for whatever Microphone (or whatever) is for your sound.. Make it go up on the tab and ta-da!

Windows XP.

Have you people not used windows XP?
