That would be what I believe to be the sentiment behind my first post, way up there...

...Pardon, pray, my incomprehensibly elaborate way of putting it.

I distrust the idea of minimum fame or minimum membership in order to acquire a subforum.

Using either or both as a par...

Mm. Though I wouldn't be personally impeded at all, since my guild is both prolific and glaring, I would much rather see an application system implemented in a "freeform" capacity.

A template of questions, yes, but not so that they would need to answer within an arbitrary and specific criteria or be automatically rebuffed.

...but I think you've a clear idea of the root concept being put into practice here.

Though whether I do is another matter.

Oh, I actually wanted to put a note about this in particular... I suggest that people who try to arrange events use the Calendar for it. Beneath any eventual birthdays of the day, it usually says: "This day does not have any events associated with it.", and just beneath that it says "Post an Event" (this is how the posting page looks).

If you use that function, your post will arrive in the Event Planning forum, but will also be shown in the Calendar and appear as a link at the bottom of the index forum page when the date for the event begins to come near. In the same place they otherwise display online users and birthdays.
