Jezzan never seemed to get things right. Never ever ever ever ever ever ever! It’s unfair, that’s what it was. All he wanted to do was make the Great, Almighty, All Powerful Loa Kah’pre happy! Then the Blessed One would rain down good things on poor, poor, Jezzan, spurned by fate, hated by the things he loved most. But no, not him. He had to screw up again and offend a Loa. But then why were these women hitting him? It wasn’t their place. Was it? No, Jezzan was sure it wasn’t. They were hitting him, though. And it hurt.

And now they were attacking him. He didn’t even know how, too. He didn’t provoke such violence. He didn’t want this! But suddenly, he had just lost all control of his limbs, and they were moving… hexing… on their own. A voice kept talking, but it wasn’t his. And the three women opposite him looked ready to kill, and they were ready to kill, because they were literally –killing- him. Oh Loa, oh Loa, what should he do?!

Jezzan felt the pain, he wanted to double over and collapse and writhe and do other things that signaled pain, but his body wouldn’t let him. He kept fighting. Why? He just wanted the pain to stop. Why wouldn’t the pain stop? This would never have happened if he were still the Repairman! Pain was never an issue… But now it was an issue, and it hurt. And he still couldn’t stop. It was only when he was on the ground that his limbs were his own again, not that it mattered. He was in so much pain by then that he could barely writhe around. He let out a soundless scream, the kind that you scream in a nightmare, when you know that no one is coming to save you because no one can hear your wordless plea.

All he wanted was to make everyone happy…

Colors dulled, and everything blackened, shimmering as though a mirage. Jezzan felt lost, without purpose, and yet somehow angry and flustered. He had a stomachache that just wouldn’t go away and he felt like he needed to a nice cup of water. He didn’t know what to do, so he just kind of… sat there. Formless darkness and shapes not unlike shapeless skyscrapers and unreal forests glided by him.

And that’s when the voice spoke.

“Ju were killed,” it said.

“Ju were treated unjustly,” it said.

“Ah be de Loa o’ Vengeance, an’ ju deserve what ah be havin’ fo’ ya,” it said.

And that’s when Jezzan realized; he was in the spirit world. Spirit World… Jezzan had never been here before. Its unreality… frightened him. But he knew that what the voice said was true. Or was it? He didn’t know after all. He didn’t understand what he had done to be sent here.

It didn’t seem to matter, because he was immediately drawn away from the place, back to the warm, sunny place. And then arms were thrown around him. Woman arms. Woman Annabelle arms. Woman Annabelle Beautiful arms. Oh Loa… Here we go again.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Annabelle was conveniently somewhere where Jezzan's corpse perhaps landed, or washed up on the beach. She hesitantly inspected it, the clothes appearing familiar. It's Jezzan! A small outcry of worry and she rushed over. He's dead! Her hand covers her mouth in shock, for who would kill Jezzan of all troll--people. She is thankful the scene still looks fresh. An utterance of prayer, and she uses a Scroll of Recall to get them both back to her island. Once there, Jezzan's body is placed on the level above her workshop, preserved via Light. A "lamp" of sorts radiates the energies while she goes about her other routines. Enough time passing to allow the soul's adjustment, and to prepare for the rez, she...rezzes him!

And then berates and hugs him at the same time for getting into trouble.

Killers: Talesta, Pollie, Celes
Resurrector: Annabelle

Drawbacks:
-Standard weakness and tendency to cough up blood when pushed.
-Has periods where he is unable to breath.
-Incredibly weak limbs.
-Pain spasms in the stomach region.
-Susceptibility to mounting. (Mounting: Troll possession)

Long Term Drawbacks:
-Fear of all things goat and tiny.
-Near fanatical devotion to Ms. Annabelle Greene (Trolololololol~)

Psst. You forgot the killer/drawbacks thing.
I blame Squirrel for making that the standard. Edits have been made.
... Resurrection denied.

More substantial drawbacks, please.
Uh, why, if I may?

The drawbacks are mostly cause in effect. Jezzan was shot in the knee and the shoulder (two very healable places, all things considered, no?) and then impaled in the chest with an ice spike (which the coughing up blood covers).

The mounting thing is my own personal twist and the fear and devotion are both exactly (and I mean exactly) how Jezzan would react.
Given how the body risks decomposition, even as the Loa guides the troll spirit back, it still suffers wear and tear from the absence of a soul. Granted, you don't need to have Jezzan wake up with maggots in his skin, but the point still stands: he'd generally be very, very weak.

Some resurrection posts place time restraints on when they have certain drawbacks and how, and when they do recover.

In the case of Jezzan, the fatal blow is an ice spike through the chest. In my mind, he either died of: impalement of the heart, impalement of the lung, severed spinal cord, or exsanguination (bleeding to death), among others I can't think. Have a number of the drawbacks reflect on that. Maybe he can't breathe very well for the first couple weeks. Maybe he has heart problems. Or he suffers anemia from loss of blood. It's up to you.

Point is, your drawbacks are very few in consideration to how long Jezzan was out. It's a shame too, because I miss Jezzan and I hope to see more of him, especially as to see how he recovers.
Fair enough. Edits have been made.
Anna took care of him, the body, for that week. Decomposition would not be an issue, or not as big as it usually is.

...Buuut if it's already fixed...
Well, even a short time in a lake can mess up one. Imagine that in an ocean, and you may have a lot of stuff missing. Possibly seawater got in his wounds and got to his heart, leading to water in his heart.

Just because the wounds heal doesn't mean that whatever got inside is gone, as well. That's why you have to remove the bullets from the wound hole before sowing it up, so the person doesn't get lead poisoning.
