The Byronic hero is something of a subtrope of the anti-hero, but worth a good mention because they're often fundamentally different than the modern traditional anti-hero.

Namely in that Byronic heroes are even bigger *beep!*holes and tend to not to do the good thing and are heroes because the story focuses on them.
