This might be an opportunity for me to properly explore and develop a character who otherwise wouldn't get much real emotional development on account of being too stubborn and set in his ways. I think it'd be really interesting to see where this goes.

Character Name: Voragh Backbreaker
Race/Class/Gender: Orc/Gladiator/Male
Personality Traits: Crass, gruff, bull-headed, belligerent, impulsive and lustful with a crude, morbid sense of humour. Very materialistic. Quietly self-loathing, and that just makes him hate the world around him even more. Convinced of his own indestructability. Has a horrendous temper problem.
Open-Book: He's bad and he should feel bad. Voragh is what happens when you tell a child with an ego and temper problems that he'll grow up to be the greatest warrior the world ever knew, then taint him with fel, artificially age him, then let him loose to kill and pillage on a different world entirely. Top it off with him murdering his father in the battlefield on a bloodlust-driven whim, then have him lose all drive and motivation and wallow in self-pity for ten years before breaking loose into a world he doesn't understand, told to live a way of life he doesn't care for. Naturally, he rebelled, striving towards the glory days of old - and ended up joining a cult, drinking a goblet full of Doomguard blood and killing a whole family in the ensuing blood fury.

He is the kind of orc for whom living an honourless life of hedonism, whoring and career pit fighting with the Cartel counts as him being redeemed - or that's what he tells himself, because at least he isn't murdering anyone, right? He knows he should try and be a better orc, that he should fight for the Horde rather than for profit and behave with honour, but he also knows he's just too much of an ass for that kind of life, and besides, he couldn't live without booze and whores. Deep down, he is utterly certain that he is a worthless waste of space, but he thinks that if he keeps drunk and high enough to ignore it and continues to make a name for himself as a successful gladiator, it'll go away. So that's what he does. He fights, shouts and screws because it's fun, it's easy and it distracts him from what's important.

Let him think what he wants. Prove him wrong.
After some consideration, Hrodebert will be my character pick of choice, given the negative impact Aryeon would have and how I already have plans for Cristovao.
It must be done, CoTH.

It must be done...

WE ARE ASSUMING CONTROL OF THIS EVENT.

So while I iron out the details of how it's supposed to go down, let's get chatting about what day/date is good for y'all. I'd like it to be organized day, though, as i'm not sure how long it will take to fully plan and get sufficient support from both the staff and my inner nervousness. So thinking, just give me a general idea of what days you're normally free enough for this sort of thing. Throw in a Server Time as well. I'll try and coordinate to suit everyone's needs. I intend for this event to happen.

EDIT: Also, anyone who needs to back out now due to time constraints or a loss of interest may do so.
I may not get involved at all now. Hrod hasn't been in HG for a while, Aryeon is a bad pick, and Cristovao has his own thing going on.

Maybe. We'll see.
UPDATE: To all new applicants, if you could please also include the character's relationships with others close to them in the "Open Book" section as well as their insecurities, i'd be grateful.

Thanks!

ANOTHER EDIT: All former applicants are free to resubmit a new application for a different character, if they still want to participate but their characters are entangled. *CoughRobcough*
I may have missed it, but when is this taking place?

To be decided. We need to obviously work out a time that suits everyone, be they participants, DMs, or GMs (no easy feat).

EDIT: Best add what time works for you all in the application. And I mean day and time you are generally free. The actual date shall be worked out later.
Egh. Okay. It sounds interesting, and I would like to bring my paladin, but there's the complication that he's still dead.

>_<

Really should fix that.
Character Name: Xanthe Novalight

Race/Class/Gender: Blood Elf / Hunter / Female

Personality Traits: Genuinely kind, with an unprejudiced heart and never a mean word or thought for anyone. She does not register sarcasm and cannot lie, which leads her to take things at face value and miss many subtle cues. Her perspective and understanding of the world different from most, Xanthe frequently relies on metaphor/story/direct observation of nature and animals to adequately express herself, and when she is serious she is almost monklike. Though some take Xanthe's behavior, at first, as childlike and idealistic, Xanthe is actually very logical and rational - she likes to be certain. She feels emotions very intensely and though lately her meltdowns have been fewer and further between, too much distress can trigger her. Xanthe is a staunch pacifist and though her skills with a bow are exceedingly proficient, she does not kill and has hardly harmed a creature in her life.

Open-Book: (This event will be more interesting if the antagonist is able to find information about the character involved. Please put information that could be found via mundane means such as family history books or hear-say, and information found via supernatural means, such as prying into the character's mind. Note that this is optional, but it's more fun if you give something!)
Spoiler:
Mundane Means: There has been some buzz among the Silvermoon City elite since Xanthe's reintroduction into society as she was previously kept away in her family's estate for most of her life: Most remember her as socially inept, prone to emotional meltdowns, and mentally not-quite-there. Anyone interested in servants' gossip may discover that her reintroduction could be short-lived: Already, her father, family advisors, and elder siblings are trying to remove her from her seat of power within the family, thinking her too weak and foolish to be Nova. She is very fond of travel and being alone in the wilderness, seeming to be always on the move.

Immediate Family: Jidaeo (Father); Thalion, Alteryia, Zariel (older siblings), Cerice (mother)
Family Advisor: Singe (Who was in this application list)
Friend in this listing: Annabelle
Main Animal Companions: Tyr and Ruka (Worgs), Ekene (Lion), Iqbal (Zhevra), Calfuray (Wooly Rhino)

Supernatural Means: There are no wards or walls in Xanthe's mind as she is both trusting and unfamiliar with mental warfare. However, prying into her mind may at first prove difficult as her mental landscape would feel different than most.

What may be found: Deep-rooted feelings of loneliness and fear of abandonment.

One may notice that her family has an abundance of Death Knights. Xanthe does not see them as monsters, nor (even) as dead people. Though she is no longer speaking of it, her mind is still trying to process Thalion's death and subsequent resurrection. It is a fact of nature, for her, that when beings die they are dead forever; she, so far, has categorized Thalion's death as a very bad dream.

(That's all I can think of for now!)
Character Name: Delina
Race/Class/Gender: Draenei/Magi/Female
Personality Traits: Childish, talkactive, annoying, sadness, loneliness.

Delina is a strange creature which often passes as childish and even arrogant at the first few times you talk with her, she doesn't holds back her tongue, often talking more than she should, or making arrogant comments about another. This is however a masked way to act, which is the way she found to avoid her past and the things she lost with it, adopting a childish way to act instead of a depressive one.

Open-Book: Delina is unknown on Hearthglen, to be frank. The only time she did something worth of taking note in there was partaking in an auction which was ran by a goblin, and spending quite a good amount of money in it, without getting anything useful at all.

When it comes to... Unnatural means of getting into her mind - That is quite complex. Her mind is actually at a state which one could call insanity, she's passed through too much things which is the reason of why she acts so strange, the fake happiness she actually holds being merely a mask to cover the extreme pain, and fault she feels, for not being able to help her kind at the time.

--

Thats it... Not sure if good enough, but this event sounds awfully interesting.

Anyway, my... 'able' time should be somewhere between 8AM to 4~8PM(server time), it really depends on the day.
UPDATE: Two more spots are open, as CappnRob's and Ozewse's characters have dropped out, so keep dem applications and times comin'!
I'll be happy to lend assistance on the technical side, though I won't be participating. Let me know what you need, if anything.
Character Name:

Don Bronco

Race/Class/Gender:

Human / Warrior / Male

Personality Traits:

Bronco is, for all intents and purposes, a wild man. He is the epitome of the farm boy and ranch hand, plucked out from the rural fields of Arathi, and placed in a position of great wealth in his own ranching endeavors. The mix of backwoods bravery with the wealth to back most any inane adventure, often puts the man into strange and difficult situations. Regardless, he has not let his fortune go to his head, still holding a firm grasp on the tenants of the Light, instilled in him from a young age. For example, his faith in the Light has lead him not only to marry a priestess, but act as a guard for the Argent town of Hearthglen.

Open-Book: (This event will be more interesting if the antagonist is able to find information about the character involved. Please put information that could be found via mundane means such as family history books or hear-say, and information found via supernatural means, such as prying into the character's mind. Note that this is optional, but it's more fun if you give something!)

Relations:

Fiancee: Annabelle Greene

Siblings: Theresa and Clint Bronco

Parents: Dana and Don Bronco

Uncle: William Bronco

Grandparents: Susanna and Don Bronco

General:

Born in Arathi, left with Jaina for Kalimdor.

Owns three ranches; Talbuk / Gryphon ranch in Nagrand, Kodo ranch in Tanaris, and Horse / Gryphon ranch in Grizzly Hills.

Incredibly skilled gunman.

Argent Guard.

Going through the process of adopting a child from Stormwind.

Within Don's mind:

Despite the rancher's typical boisterous nature, there is quite a bit going on within the man's head. There's constant conflict, doubt, and guilt, circling around his inability to wield the Light. He's unsure of what it is he's doing wrong, and feels like he's almost wronged the Light in some way. He's rather sensitive when it comes to this, and will begin to make a mountain out of a mole hill so to speak, when it comes to his faults, trying to pick and pry at his misjudged actions to see how he can become better as a person.

Someone prying into Don's mind might find that there is a deeply rooted fear of fel, stemming from his death, and the ripping of his soul from his body. His greatest fear is that he will be forced into a soul shard once more.

He is jealous of elves, not for personalities or histories, but for their physical looks. This could easily be played upon, if one were to mention Zariel, Annabelle's former significant other, he being an elf. Along with this is a distaste for trolls, stemming from his conflict with the Sandfury in Tanaris. The race he would be most open to upon first meeting, are the Draenei.

I edited Anna's intro.

Application:

Character Name: Annabelle Greene

Race/Class/Gender: Human/Holy Techno-Priest/Female

Personality Traits: Snarky, watchful, perceptive, relentless in her pursuits (to the point of diving into her work to flee what she perceives as a mistake), curious, has little patience for vanity, open hearted, seeks redemption in self and others, violence is a last resort. A patient listener, almost too forgiving, and a romantic.

Open-Book: It's Annabelle. Nose in every kind of baddie business. Well known in Hearthglen, being a Council member. Her being a Bisen isn't hidden, also has ties to another Alterac noble house. She might be considered a "heretic", as she is quite comfortable in darker company, and voted for the allowance of the Forgotten Shadow in Hearthglen. Her penchant for making all kinds of friends is well known. From eerie Forsaken, to an Argent Templar.

Supernatural? Before her recent death, Anna's mind was a fortress. With the damage done to her, that strength has waned, but she is making up for it by shifting her practices to a more pure, supportive holy methodlogy rather than harsh discipline. The power of the heart as opposed to the power of the mind. She still has much experience with shadow and its power over the mind, and is quick to defend as she can.

Her view of the Light is as follows:
The world and universe is a dark void, speckled with sparks of goodness and light. It is one's own choice to seek betterment in adversity, and as such, she has made that choice time and again. She holds no faith in an angelic, omnipotent being, ready to swoop her away. It is by her own hand's work, and the work of the people, that she (and the good in the world) will triumph.

If the world is the void of the night sky, the goodness of people is the stars that dot it. Constellations are the bonds of these people. She seeks them out, and supports them for the world's betterment. She lives by the story of the single branch being easily broken, but the many being nearly impossible.

The baseline of her actions is a deep love for the world and its people. She is, at her core, a mother.

A delver might find hidden guilt over the inability to save certain people. Hidden feelings of inadequacy around fellow humans. Her machinations. Loneliness. She worries that there is a deep, dark despair inside her that matches the hope and light she seems to bring to people. She worries that perhaps, this despair has been rendered into existance in the world.

Balance must exist above all, afterall.
UPDATE: Ozewse, DaveM, and Jester have yet to confirm to me that they're still participating. I've decided to free up their spots, so three spots are available now.

In the interest of fairness, if any of them still want to participate they can submit their revised applications and another spot will be added in for them.
