Liana
Spoiler:

Her history is like that of any Draenei... she has lived for a long time, seen a lot of things. She lived a normal life on Argus... until everything started going wrong. When the time came, she was quick to side with Vellin. She left with no family, just herself. Her parents had long since died of a strange illness.

When they arrived at their new home, she was wary of the Orcs. They were savage, and she didn't like them one bit. She never did... and when they turned on them, she wasn't willing to say "I told you so."

She fought, and she defended. Watching her own die as there was nothing she could do but protect small groups at a time. They ran... from one -safe- place to another. Finally, they arrived at Shattrath. But even that didn't last.

There were no important events in all this... she fought, and she ran... From Shattrath, to Zangarmarsh. Where they were finally safer than they had been. When the time came for the battle of the Exodar though, her life changed forever.

The fight was chaos. They weren't an army, they didn't have order in their charge. It was kill or be killed for them. Their enemy had heavy armor in front, healers behind them. They knew what they were doing. But they fought anyways. Liana fought hard, trying her best to simply survive. No matter how bad she wanted to, she couldn't protect anyone else... she was far too busy with her own life. Every second she was blocking or swinging.

But after she had won a few fights, a few limp elven bodies scattered around her, her ears perked up. It was as if the whole battle had silenced itself, like she had become shell shocked. She heard crying, and turned and rushed through the fight. She pushed past her brothers and sisters, past elves and civilians fleeing for their lives, when she found a small girl. A Draenei, covering her eyes and crying. She looked around, and quickly took note she was far too close to a fighting pair, a vindicator and a mage. She saw fire raining down, there was no time to help her sister. She grabbed the girl, and ran for the closest ship.

Once inside, she put the girl down, and turned to defend her, and everyone else with her life should she have to, but no elves came. Only her brothers and sisters entered, some wounded, some perfectly fine. She waited, until the doors shut, before throwing her blade aside, and dropping down. The small girl was crying. She scooped her up into her arms, and cradled her. She had never done this before... but she seemed to do it well. The girl calmed down, and quickly fell asleep. Liana shook her head, as she felt the ship start to move.

For a while, everything seemed fine. Until there was a terrible shaking. She stood up, with the girl in her arms, and ran off. She found everyone gathered in a room, and someone came running... screaming that the ship had been sabotaged.

She looked around as everyone panicked. Everyone rushed for the life pods. She followed, looking for one that hadn't already been shut, or was full. There were Draenei everywhere... there seemed to be nowhere to go. Then, a sister with a bunch of children with her ran by, and grabbed her arm.

"This way!"

She led her off, down a long hall of others piling into rooms. She looked down, the girl was still asleep. She ran as fast as she could, not seeming to notice everyone around her. She followed the woman, until the entire ship shook, like an earthquake. She heard explosions, and looked around. At the shaking, she almost fell over, but kept her footing making sure to hang on to the girl. She didn't bother looking down, she pushed herself off the wall she had fallen against, and ran after the woman. Finally, they entered a pod. There were not many inside, just a few men and women. Even with all the children it didn't become cramped.

She sat down with a loud sigh. She had made it. She felt safe now. She held the girl close, watching as the door was closed and it was confirmed everyone on the ship was in a pod. She looked down, the girl was asleep. Had she not waken from all that? She smiled, happy she was able to save her. Then, she felt very strange. As if a large amount of magic had just washed over her. She ship shuttered, but inside the pod, everything was muffled.

She felt it... the sudden change in the gravity. Between the fake and the new real, she felt heavy. She knew that feeling, soon after, the feeling of her insides being lifted up. The ship was falling, no, it was crashing. She heard noises, as if air was being released. It came closer, and closer, then suddenly, their pod locked, all light being shut out... and jolted. It had been launched. She closed her eyes, holding the girl tight, making sure even at the cost of her own life, that she would be safe. She blacked out as the pod hit the ground. She didn't wake up, for quite a while.

When she awoke, she was in a strange place. She looked up, staring at the stars. She felt as though her bones were broken. Or at least broken and then freshly healed. She looked around as a thought jumped into her mind. She almost panicked, looking around at all the Draenei moving about, but froze, when something rubbed against her stomach. She slowly looked down, to find the girl there, asleep. She sighed in relief, putting her hand on the girls head, and running her fingers through her hair. They had made it, they were safe now.

By time the girl had awoken, the woman who had led her to safety on the ship noticed her. She rushed over, pulling the girl away, so they could speak privately.

"That girl... I was so worried. In the chaos before the ship, we lost her, and I couldn't find her anywhere."

"I am Liana, are you her mother?"

"No, I am the orphan matron. She no longer has a mother. She died not long after her birth."

"... I would like to have her as my own then."

"You would adopt her, in a time like this?"

"Yes."

The matron stared at her for a long moment, and then smiled and nodded. She went back to fetch the girl, bringing her back just a few seconds later.

"Lilly, this woman who saved you is named Liana. And she wants to be your new mother."

She knew the girl did not understand, she was too young. But when Lilly smiled, her heart jumped in excitement. This was the first family she had ever had. She didn't even know her parents, and now she had a daughter.

Since then, she has not fought a single battle. She has worked hard at helping her brothers and sisters, and pampering Lilly every chance she gets. When their new allied races would come through, she would try to find her something such as a toy or a dress.

After a couple years she took Lilly to Stormwind, the human city. There they have lived happily, and only recently did she acquire combat equipment. She plans to go and fight again. To make sure this new world is safe for her daughter... but she couldn't bare to be away from her for too long. So this is where her story ends, and her legacy begins.
