So, earlier, during an RP, My character Friedrich was yelling up to some friends, but the trick was they were behind the portal located within the Mage Quarter's tower. It raised the question.

Can sound travel through portals?

Well, sound is pretty much vibrations moving through the air, savvy? So, that means that air would be travelling through WITH the vibrations, savvy? And air is a substance, as are people, so the vibrations should be able to go through, savvy?
