Regardless of my thoughts of the approval process - why is this in GenDisc? Why is it not in the Private Discussion forum? If it were a player instead of a GM, would that have influenced your decision to post this publicly? I can understand to some degree if you want others to back up your PoV, but that does not excuse that this is the type of thing that the aforementioned forum was created for. Heck, if this was indeed about a player instead of a GM it probably would have been locked immediately - instead, GMs are a bit hesitant about locking it for fear of 'squashing feedback' or the like.
I'll take care of that.
Major events in a race's history haven't necessarily needed to be included because it generally affects characters fairly similarly, and reading about something numerous times the same way would likely get a bit tedious (let alone having to write it). There's apparently a difference in opinion on that, and is something we can address a wee bit later.

Edit: Necessary =/= necessarily
