Conquest of the Horde

Hello everyone!

Since we have so many writers, I thought it could be fun to to do a creative writing contest.

There will be three different categories for people to apply in. Short story, which is 1500 words or less, long story, which is above 1500 words but under 7000 (I don't want to read a novel), then poetry.

Every month I will throw one of these and offer up awesome prizes to the first and second places; first place, 500gs plus an item, and second would be 250gs plus an item.

The topic for the month of April will be [And then there were eggs.]

Take of it as you will. Interpret it all you want. Have fun!

Deadline will be the fourteenth! Send your entries to my forum account!

Does it have to be a WoW story? Or just anything?

Wow would be preferred. :3

How will the winner be determined? Via voting through the forums?

I will have two secret people help me determine.

Now to figure out some kind of allegory for eggs and the working of the mind.

Alternatively I demand some kind of Murloc tale about Skyfin saving eggs for this contest, Xigo.

I might have to get in on this. Gotta find the time to actually sit down and write, maybe this week when we're not doing anything while on vacation, heh. Anyways, butter my butt, slap my shoulder and call me Betsy I'm interested.

TWELVE DAYS. Knowing my inclination to sit down and totally fail to write something when I absolutely intend to, I probably should start writing something right now.

I do, of course, wish to compete. If I were to win, i'd rather my prize go to the second place victor, since I can just give myself 50k gold and every item.

Not that I do, but I have no use for prizes!

Maybe we can possibly have an artist on coth do a free piece for a winner if that is the case!

Though my technique is poor, my penmanship weak, you shall have a story about Skyfin and eggs.
