Colossal wings carried a titanic ghost through the skies.
No shadow chaperoned it along the green causeway, and the lithe, emerald leviathan made no sound as she swept over the treetops.
Her eyes were closed, but she flew with eminent purpose.
No, more than that: Urgency.
“Thank you for sparing the time for an audience. I know well what dire matters I keep you from.”
Two elven figures stood opposing one another in a mossy grove, the forest thrumming in quiet percussion to the conversation. Both were garbed in simple but elegant attire. An avian mask obscured her upper face, but not the consternation she plainly wore with a troubled scowl. He was having only a slightly better time concealing his fear – and who wouldn’t be frightened by the prospect of a matter that worried a dragon?
“With a dire matter of your own,” he reminded gently. “Tell me how I might assist.”
“You are likely already aware that the Nightmare is beginning to manifest in Azeroth. Our attempts to contain it have failed.”
He squared his jaw as she said the words so plainly. “We have received scattered reports, yes. I have not seen the effects for myself, as we have isolated those areas as best we could in the interim. There are other anomalies, too—”
She raised a hand, and he was quiet. A grim weight pressed on her voice. “They are connected. It is my hope that those situations will resolve themselves once the spill is contained.” After allowing him a moment to digest the information, she continued. “I have traced a number of these leaks to their sources. The most effective way to handle the situation is to force the corruption back through those gateways and seal them. I can provide the means, but not the manpower.”
“I will cover that,” he nodded. “All I need to know is when and where.”

We here in the Emerald Circle will continue to monitor activity around that area to ensure that no further anomalies surface. We will take the information you have provided into consideration, and put it into use should the time arrive when we must, though it is my hope that it will not come to that.

In north-east Ashenvale, we have detected another unnatural disturbance. Means of transportation - both natural and magical - will be provided by our local agents. They will deliver you to the location in question, where an operative will await to brief you.
To speak briefly on a lesser matter, while we appreciate all aid and extend our gratitude to everyone who is willing and able to assist, the use of Fel and other such reprehensible magics more often than not does more harm than good. It also reflects badly on The Cenarion Circle when users of such magic operate in our name. We would kindly ask practitioners to refrain from offering their aid, in the future.
