So I went to/through each of the RP locations, neutral and horde. I have complaints.

The Jail (neutral) is in the middle of stormwind; the guards came into it to kill me (through the walls) and as a ghost, I was unable to even try to reclaim my body. Therefore, please either remove the location, remove the guards, or make them yellow instead of red to horde members.

I had a similar situation in the Netherstorm area.

The "northrend boat" should actually be in northrend, and not within seeing distance of another boat. There is also another boat that actually is in northrend... why not switch their locations? (I think it was a pirate boat)

The casino needs more.... fun n games. Perhaps you could include some of the toy stuff from Dalaran? I'm aware it isn't exactly ~casino~ in fashion, but it could be. For example, the train set: have one there and an NPC. The NPC lets you "bet" on the train set, and then the NPC would /roll. 1-50 =you loose your money, 51-80= get your money back, 81-99=win 1.5 your bet, and 100=triple(or double). Its also on a flying thing... you could have "parachute games;" pay and take a parachute down and try to land on a specific island. If you do, you get cash, or a pretty gem, etc. Or nothing, if you land on the wrong island or if you fall in the water.

Honor's stand should have a flightpath person in its totem pole. You know, where the wyvren is. Which brings up another point.

Perhaps the most important point.

Why so many empty places? No NPC's anywhere? Except for a random money exchanger (what is the point of those things? if you get a gold converted to 100 silver, wouldn't the game mechanics just say, "oop, he has 100 silver, thats 1 gold?") on a boat.
While I can't really address anything else, mostly because that's not my area, I can point out one thing! The NPC currency exchange is for IC currency, not the OOC money you get from doing quests and killing mobs. With the IC currency, you can have 100 silver without it automatically converting into a gold.
Intriguing. Thanks Reigen!

Are you serious?

Does it actually matter?

Go ahead and code that and get back to me

It's IC money.

You are awfully critical of the server, you have been on here... less than a week? I dunno. Perhaps applying common sense and experience when you have actually been here a while could give you a better outlook; you don't think that

a) GM team doesn't know this?
b) Anyone honestly cares enough to go through the effort of changin it?
c) The people who have been on the server a long time would not have pointed it out before? And if they haven't, there's clearly a reason for it. See a or b.
To be fair, the jail RP location is meant to be neutral, so getting wall-ganked by NPCs is pretty lame.
We don't add npcs to areas for a few reasons. One and probably the biggest reason, people use locations for different reasons. Some do not want to be on a ship with a bunch of people or be at a camp location with random people. Sometimes less can be more.

And about the casino, that location was mostly used by Drarry who runs an IC casino. He has his own ghi games that he uses.

It's not phased and it's in the middle of SW, Kretol knows that lvl1s play.

Also, it's human architecture and covered in flags with the stormwind icon on it... can't see a reason for any Horde to be there
If the jail is not on the alliance only locations, then it is open for all factions.

Vee, I ask that you try to be a bit more respectful when you respond, because your responses are coming off as very rude. This player is new and is asking and learning about the server as well as trying to clear things up, so there is no reason to take such a tone.

I've seen a bunch of Forsaken holding up in there before. /shrug
This thread is going places I do not want to follow...
Well Vee, you might have the wrong understanding of my feelings towards the server. I've enjoyed what roleplaying I've done, I like the presence and the OoC Cavern system, I like the people that I've met, and I appreciate this place for simply existing. However, my character isn't accepted yet so I'm trying to not do much RP (why roleplay a character/get attached to it if it is possibly going to be shot down?), so I went exploring! =D

a) yes, I am serious. I'm not saying make all of the guards gone, or all of them neutral, just the ones around that jail place. Or, again, make it not a neutral zone where horde can go. =/

b) no, it doesn't matter; its more of an oddity than a grievous error. However if I said something and something was done about it... =D

c) Sure! Just give me the basic format of how NPC speech works, and I'll gladly do that for you. =)

d) understood.

----

a) perhaps they don't.
b) if they went through enough effort to put the casino place there, or the boats, etc, yes, maybe they honestly do.
c) Eh. Banana pie.
I'm pretty sure the name of the 'Northrend boat' refers to the model and not the location, which obviously can be pretty confusing. I'll agree with the jail and the Netherstorm tower, both are horrible for anyone with a low level character. I'm not sure about the casino though, I was only there for a minute or so so I could very well have missed something but from what I saw it was more or less just an Alliance airship. Might be a case of a misleading name, or lack of exploration on my part.

As for being empty, they're meant to be! The RP locations are places which are supposed to be used by players for a multitude of different purposes, so putting NPCs around could limit what they could effectively be used for. An example is the mage tower, if it was filled with Kirin Tor NPCs it might be great for Dalaran roleplayers, but any other mage faction might have a harder time justifying their presence.

Not that it is my place, but I don't think there's any reason to take a harsh tone just because someone is new. Criticism that isn't just blatant trolling should be appreciated for what it is, especially if it is indicative of someone who's interested in improving the server.

Remember, Happiness is mandatory, citizen.

Edit: Damn, lots of replies in no time.
I agree with the tower, but larger establishments like Honor's Stand, or any of the numerous strongholds... I dunno, I feel like there should be a guard or two on a wall. =p

But I understand the point.

I thought the Northrend boat was supposed to be a boat that was on its way to Northrend, so that people could RP during said voyage. =)
I want to say something so very badly, but I don't feel that it's appropriate here...

Well Lancelet, no point in posting if you're not going to post! Tell us whats on your mind. =)
(I promise I won't be offended, at the very least.)
