Pretty much this. Much in the way Warhammer books are both Canon and Non-Canon, due to being from the perspective of a single chronicler, and history is rarely ever chronicled right, this info is up to the perceiver's interpretation. /nod.

Frankly, much of it's like multilasers.

Even if it is "IC" lore, its still the most love blizzard has given WoW since TBC.

Eh, it's not hard to believe they have an ancestor or something. They're from the same planet at least.

See how similar they look? Unspoiler just the ogre and orc and look at the orc's fist compared to the ogres, their facial structure, muscles and such. It's kind of a neat thing, innit?

Keeping it old school implies they have an ability to advance.

There's a difference between playing a DOS because you can't actually upgrade, and staying with it because of nostalgia.

It's also an easy way for me to explain my hatred for Tyrande, since it usually takes about an hour and a half of me ranting to go through -every single thing- that she's -ever- done wrong.
