Tongues has bad troll accents though...
I'll RP with you and show you easy ways to keep to the accent. Not that hard if you have a system and say everything outloud before writing it down.
Well, in my reading I found something quite.. Funny.

Has there -ever- been a forsaken shadow ascendant who has deemed himself such? Oh the fun that would be, such an undead picking upon the trolls and acting as the loa.
Well, probably. Since Shadow Ascendants are ghostly, spiritual and egotistical beings, it makes sense that they would refer to themselves as godly. They are, after-all, the pinnacle of forgotten shadow worship. Loa are, in essence...

Quote:Loas are the ancient spirits of those who had transcended death that can grant wondrous boons or inflict terrible punishments to trolls, and all trolls are blessed with some regeneration by them.

Shadow Ascendants are pretty death-transcendent-ty, and since they are powerful shadow-casters their power can easily be made evident to the extremely superstitious and 'godfearing' trolls. Priests, as we already know, get their power by their faith alone, therefore they don't need it granted by the Shadow Ascendant-- or even the loa-- as long as they believe that the creature is granting them that power.

So, basically, if the shadow ascendant were to be all, "RAWR, I strip you of your power!" The troll would lose his power because he believed that he was receiving power from the shadow ascendant. Same with the loa.

There was a GM back in the day, who's name I... Can't... Remember... I have no idea why. If anyone else can, he was a member of the BSHG. In any case, he had a Shadow Ascendant and most every troll in the Honorguard viewed him reverently. It was interesting too, since he only took advantage of their worship once or twice. My troll just liked him for it all the more. ^.^
It wasn't Sozun, was it?

Nope, not me.
Pfft, just because Duraza should be a GM doesn't mean he was silly. No, this was back with the ancient Prestige system. I'm not sure if the character was ever even profiled though, so it might be kind of hard to figure it out. I'll dig through the old forums later on tonight and see if I can find out who it was, because its bothering me now. :3
Hmm...

I was here back then too, and in the BSHG, but I don't remember a specific shadowpurst.
Aha! I think it was Monolith. I can't remember the character's name, but I'm almost positive it was him...
